Renkiboy Faranah is a village of Guinea :) The celebration is Kawa and the boy with yelow t-shirt is one of the Fadouba's son called Moussa Oulare.

Me parece muy lindo, Gracias por enseñar, me gustaría saber más del canto, del baile a que se refiere o cual es el significado

@@JoseSanchez-pz9uk I’m not completely sure about the singing, I know one song where they give praise to whoever the lead drummer is for the mask, within said song for the mask. But as for the rhythm, Kawa is a mask that, traditionally, only the medicine man of the village can perform. In the village the mask dances to bless the harvest, so everyone reaps bountifully. The sweeping motions of the mask’s legs are to clear away negative energy & spirits.

This is absolutely amazing. Fadouba is a true master. His djembe language is right in step with the dancer.

Of course Faranah is a place. That´s why it´s written ' Fadouba Oulare - Faranah ' ( with tyhe sign. / About Fadouba been angry, well, tell him that if it wasn´t for KZfaq existence, thousands of fans of him around the world would never be able to see an image of him playing. There are hundreds of students of djembe and percussion here in Brasil which are poor and have no conditions of buying a cd from Europe or USA and even less,

Ok you just proved that you judge things and make statements based on what you '' heard '', not on what you live and see and know in person by yourself.

Everybody knows where this video come from. Clearly in term of african mistycism it should'nt be broadcast. Nervetheless, all over the world, a lot of people could not ever see fadouba play... At the end, pedro, where did you found this video? On sait tous d'où vient cette vidéo. Il est claire qu'en terme de mysticisme africain, kawa ne devrait pas être représenté publiquement. Néanmoins, à travers le monde, de milliers de personnes ne saurait le voir autrement...

Well, if my information was wrong (it's really strange), i'm sorry. For africaroots, my name is Cédric Morvan, i'm living in Paris, and I have nothing against you, but you re right I have created this account to tell you what I have heard. Now you make what you want !

Where is it said that it is a village?
@guedom14 жыл бұрын
@DanielKonate Yes i wrote that is a village, sorry i m not english speaker, and i feel village = town, what is the diference? i don't mean city ciao!
@AfricaRoots15 жыл бұрын
they won´t EVER be able to go to Africa and see the masters. Maybe even if Fadouba comes to Brasil, they won´t be able to go to Workshops. Fadouba never recorded cds or videos for years and years, actually decades, and now I published an image of him, man that is a HOMMAGE to him, a way to spread his name, to people SEE him playing, why should he be angry?

Faranah is a town in Guinea, not a village d;-)

Faranah is a place. I heard that Fadouba is really angry because this video is on youtube. Please ask to artist before posting some videos on the web.
@AfricaRoots15 жыл бұрын
But I won´t talk to anyone that I do not know who they are. If there is something really really bad and that is bothering Fadouba, he could contact me directly. Until then, it is only a matter of a person who opened an account but does not show who he is. Repeating as a last thing: the purpose here was only cultural and musical; you said ' many Fadouba videos ', I don´t see '' many ''. That´s all.

You have just oppened an account today in KZfaq, without a real name... and you never identified yourself, so how can I trust you?
@cdricky115 жыл бұрын
I told you what I have heard. You can trust me or not, Idon't care. If you know a little bit Africa, and african superstitions you should know why Fadouba has been angry to see this video shared. It's not the case for many fadoubas videos. The only things to do is to ask to the artist. (sorry for my english, I'm french !!)
@AfricaRoots15 жыл бұрын
It looks like you opened this account only to come here to this video and say that. Well, I have a NAME and my name is Pedro Mendes. I don´t see YOUR name, I can´t talk to someone that I don´t even know the name. What is your fear of? /// I know about superstitions in Africa, of course, but I can´t see what is the relation here. Well, everything I do is very open and there are all my contacts in the video and some people know me, so that is easy to contact me directly.
