Absolutely brilliant! I watched this video yesterday, and today while I have been sewing face masks, my mind has kept coming back to it. I am amazed that in all the decades I have been sewing and quilting, I have never seen this serpentine stitch used for quilting. I always machine quilt quilts that I make for babies or children, and I can hardly wait to use this technique when I quilt the baby quilt that I am working on now. It features the mom's favorite Merimekko fabric with large blue flowers, and straight lines just didn't feel right for the quilting. Thank you, Laura!

Hi thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I have always had a problem trying to quilt my projects on a domestic machine. Normally I sew in the ditch but I am never pleased with the finish this creates. I tried the method you suggested in this video and I can’t believe the difference. It is a very forgiving method for a beginner like me, but the finished article looks much more professional that I expected. I can now complete all my other quilt tops using this method. You are a fabulous teacher and very generous imparting your expertise. Kind regards Yvonne Scotland.
