It’s all the same tbh the only thing I don’t like in Lohr is the pivot point for some reason you could almost jackknife with cottrell and not pinch your load where with Lohr you have to leave more room on the bottom

Cmon man. PTO isn’t air operated? Wtf how do you turn it ON? Air toggle right ? Right! Gtfoh If you don’t have enough air in the system the hydraulic PTO will not engage! Electric hoist/PTO wasn’t powerful to slide that Tesla.

@@carhaulerlife3922 I did watch it again in fact. The pto is still not air operated. That switch on your dash that says "pto" releases air because it has a brake interlock incorporated into it. If you think Im wrong, the next time you engage the pto, dont set your tractor brake first. When you flip that switch, your brakes will set. Point #2, when you tried to move that Tesla and it wouldnt, you told the other guy to start the truck and build up air. The truck wasnt running obviously so the pto, which runs off the transmission, wouldnt be running either. Point#3, your ELECTRIC HOIST and pto are not the same thing. You can use EITHER to move the decks but not both at the same time. Thats why those big stickers on your control panels that are about 12x12 inches tell you not to. Ive been in trucking for over 30yrs and been hauling cars of all brands for 19yrs. Now, if you were using the ELECTRICS to lift the decks after loading the top, and then tried using them to move that last car on #9 and it wouldnt move, there is one of two things wrong: either you didnt hold the electric switch up while moving the lever for #9 to slide of the electrics were off. If you had to START the truck as YOU YOURSELF stated, then you werent using the pto to begin with. It will not work if the truck is not running. Ive been using pto hydraulics the entire time Ive been hauling cars which, once again, is 19yrs. I idle the truck up to btwn 1100 and 1300 rpm and can lift 3500 duallies with no issues ever. If you think Im still wrong, thats fine. Im betting right about now your smacking your foregead with the palm of your hand🤦🤦

Yeah I’m smacking my forehead with the palm of my hand right now…. I got your point though but you didn’t get mine that’s ok. If you don’t have air in the system you cannot engage completely hydraulic PTO via the air operated toggle! Period! It’ll turn on YES but it will not engage. I’ve been working on trucks before I started driving them. Go ahead and try to turn on your hydraulic PTO with 80 or less psi air in the system and let me know what happens. As for bumping the rpm that’s cool for cottrell but my Boydstun don’t need to go over 800rpm it still lifts big boys at the same rate.

Your right PTO won’t turn on and work if you don’t have 100 psi or more
