Yeah. That's what you feel. But in an exam it is important to show (for 30-40 minutes) that you can control the car in all situations. If it was a flat curbstone and pedestrians were walking there it is not a good thing to do anyway. If I didn't control the steering wheel and let him crash the curbstone we probably have two flat tires, at least one: front right. Even "only" damaged wheels will cost 400-500€ each. Indeed, nobody has an intention to make an trainee to fail an exam, however, capability of the driver to observe the dangerous situation is the key for successful driving. Actually, videos with fails help also a lot because you can mark those typical possible mistakes for yourself. And coming to close to the curbstone is very popular for learners.

Indeed, he was driving very well the entire time and I feel bad for the driver, but I realized that the instructor made good call to take charge after I slowed the video at half speed starting from 15:55 and watched it in slow motion for 10 seconds ... he drifted too close & had he hit the curb on those traffic conditions , not sure what would have happened 😕 . I found it very painful (time and money endless) myself to get mine converted so I can imagine the disappointment 😞 Good luck, buddy !

There is no speed limit at 4:06, so you are allowed to drive 130. I believe he meant 100 as the general speed you should accelerate towards to merge onto the highway, so that the cars coming from behind are not too fast. Remember, the right lane is the slowest lane and usually has many trucks that are not allowed to drive that fast, so 130 is usually not needed when merging. At 2:17, the implied speed limit is 100 because you outside of city limits. It's the default outside of city limits if there is no other speed sign, just like 50 inside city limits. You can see the "leaving city" sign at 1:55 on the left, but to be honest this is a bit weird, it's not placed well. Since the road is in the middle of nowhere it's a pretty safe assumption you are outside of a city though (but always check for signs to be safe). I don't have experience driving in snow, but generally if the weather is quite bad, you should double your distance to the driver in front of you to be safe.

It was lack of concentration. We've had 20-23 minutes exam running (rolling time around 16 minutes). A broad lane. Just following car in front of us with the speed of 40km/h. He didn't even get the information about the number of exit for the roundabout. No distraction. No slippery road. Just his hands were controlling the car too far to the right side and I needed to control it back to the center of our lane before scratching/destroying both right wheels 🥴 ❤️☮️

You cannot directly convert your Indian driving licence to the German one. But you can translate your driving licence and then give it to a driving school. You will also need to register and attend a class on first aid and safety. Then you can register for your theory exam and also start the practical classes. Then you will need to clear both exams to get your driver's license as we do in India. The only concession for having an Indian licence is you can skip the theory classes. Both theory and practical exams are required. I just got my license yesterday after doing all this and spending around 3000 euros. (I required a lot of practical lessons and one class costs around 125 euros). I think it will be higher if you want to take the heavy vehicle licence.
