Here's my breakdown. Of the 13 clips, 5 make sense as examples of fair play: numbers 1, 2, 3, 8, and 13. 1) (0:00) Wang Hao vs Wang Liquin. Wang Liquin serves, then they both stop. Apparently Liquin hit the ball illegally, hard to tell. Referee calls a let, but Liquin is insisting Hao should get the point. 2) (1:26) Primorac vs Waldner, 13-19. Primorac serves, wins the point. Referee declares Waldner the winner because Primorac supposedly moved the table, and makes it 13-20. Primorac serves again, and Waldner deliberately loses. 3) (2:02) Germany vs China. German player points out that China player's shot grazed the table, giving China the point. 4) (2:14) Japan vs Germany. Japan loses point then makes strange gesture. Is there a "fair play" here? 5) (2:33) Blue vs Red. Blue loses to a good block by Red and then points at something and gets annoyed. Is there a "fair play" here? 6) (2:53) Dark vs Red. Dark loses, kicks a partition over, and gets a yellow card. Is there a "fair play" here? 7) (3:15) Schlager vs Boll. Boll wins with a blistering backhand. Schlager gives a thumbs-up for the great shot. Classy gesture, but is this really a "fair play"? 8) (3:24) Green vs Dark (women). Dark points out that Green's shot grazed the table, giving Green the point. 9) (3:33) Maze vs X. X delays the start of several points (edited together here). So Maze does it back to him, and he smiles ruefully. 10) (3:52) Green vs Blue. Good rally, but where's the "fair play"? 11) (4:11) Maze with a flying paddle. Huh? 12) (4:17) Lin vs Maze. Lin(?) gets a yellow card for delaying serve. Where's the "fair play"? 13) (4:36) Lin vs Samsonov. Samsonov's return hits the side of the table, but he is awarded the point. Samsonov speaks to the referee but no change. Lin serves and Samsonov hits the ball into the net. Fair play indeed.

Best part of the sport... Honesty and the code of honor make this sport much more enjoyable than others

I'm not really sure what happens exactly, but I think Wang Liqin hit his own arm when he was serving and the referee didn't see it. The ball then hits the net, so the referee indicates Wang Liqin has to serve again. Wang Liqin gives the point to Wang Hao because Wang Hao should have received the point. That's what I call fair play! I absolutely love the way Wang Liqin plays!! :D

Is there anybody else who has wondered when giving away points in table tennis. The referee makes a mistake and gives you a point instead of the opponent. You lead with 1-0, then you lose the next point on purpose to make it right. But it will still just be 1-1? Instead of 0-1 to the other player

In the second match (against waldner) the referee calls "let" because she thought the ball had hit the net which was Not the case as you can see in the replay. That's why waldner gives him the point. For those who wanted to know.

The official rules state the the sides of the table are considered out of bounds.

SIDE is out. EDGE is in. The ball must in some way touch the top of the table surface to count as in.
