Enjoy these simple tips to help you start riding smart. Our bus schedules are your best resource for learning how to get around. You can view these schedules online and you can also pick up copies at community locations throughout Fairfax County. When you are planning your trip, there are some simple online tools and apps you can use on your smartphone. Every bus is linked to BusTracker. This tool uses the stop ID number assigned to each bus stop to give you real time updates and the location of your bus. When boarding, tap your SmarTrip card on the farebox to pay, or put your cash and/or coins (no pennies) in the farebox. Notify the driver that you want to get off at the next stop by pulling the cord above the window at your seat. Then exit the bus from the rear door. Using the rear door makes it easier for other people to board. Start riding smart with the Fairfax Connector.
