Non-fiction writer Rosalyn Schanzer talks about the life and times of real heroes, legends, and historical events in her beautifully illustrated books. During the live webcast, the author talks about how she conducted research for her books, including "John Smith Escapes Again" and "What Darwin Saw". She shows viewers her photographs and journals she used during her research.
Schanzer answers questions from students in Virginia and Texas via Skype. We visit the author's studio and see the steps that led to the final illustrations for her books.
