When you think about what future Lucy had to go through; seeing her friends die along with everyone else around her, Natsu trying to protect her and getting killed right infront of her and then being able to see them all again alive and happy, sacrificing herself for... herself then getting to see her Natsu and her guild mates again and them waiting for her so they can go on more adventures is just heartbreaking. And then the damn SONG COMES ALONG AND MAKES MY HEART GO OUT THE WINDOW AND SHATTER TO A MILLION PIECES 😭😭😭

The scene with Natsu and Happy just grabbing Lucy’s hand and pulling her towards her guild mates... that, my friends, is how you break down a soulless being, who rarely ever cries. Edit: Fairy Tail ended *Fml* Now I have to cry over all the episodes again And wait for BNHA season 4

This scene made me tear up. In a show where the main characters are always unbeatable an alternate future of them opened are eyes showing that every single one of them can perish. I was sad and happy knowing they can spend the rest of eternity having adventures in heaven with each other ,but they all died in a land of hell fighting until their last breathe. Even Happy and so many others didn’t get the lives they were destined for.

It's sad that that future FT died but what makes it worse is that Levy is still alive and alone

Thank you Fairy Tail. Once again, when I'm feeling sad, I think of you, I think of the Family in this community, of all of you. After a big fight, I always find myself upset, and must retreat to calming music to meditate and find my center. Came back to rewatch the series after like 2 or 3 years since the ending of the anime. Just reached this scene. And this is the great thing about rewatching, even if you know all the plot already you have time to really hammer in the thoughts and realize certain things you didn't. I must say considering all the shit that future Lucy has to witness and went through even before get the chance to go back but the twisted part is that she can't even save her own friend in the future but instead sacrificed everything so that the past Lucy could have a better outcome. Yet she wasn't even there to see the results of her sacrifice. It is tragic in every way and it gives me a new level of respect for future Lucy.👆

This moment was so sad, I mean I knew that they aren't the current Lucy and Natsu, but seeing them dead and smiling in "heaven" even Natsu being dead, it made me cry so hard. Maybe one of the most saddest moments ever of FT..... The future lucy, natsu and every one deserved a happy life, but they never got the chance, so they died lonely and in pain. They were killed to death. And I just wanted for them to have the same happines and life as the current characters. This was why I found this part one of the saddest.....👆👆👆

Damn tears within 30 seconds. I'm to damn soft these days. I'm just torturing myself cuz why not. Im losing my mom and dad so figured might as well cry like a baby over life. I'm afraid I'm alone inside already but without my mom and dad I'm nothing. My mom and dad love this piano it made them cry alot. So playing it helps me remember that though they're gone they're always with me in spirit. So I have nothing to worry about. I love you Mom and Dad forever Young and beautiful you two are and forever will be. Just don't die on me yet I'll be back from my training so please hold on a little longer please God let me have this much at least. I can't live with myself for not being able to say I love them and thanks for there sacrifices and hardships.

in 2023, I quiet watching many years back and just the sound track makes me want to cry dang it. This is arguably one of the best soundtrack of anime history

Every time I come back to this theme, tears keeps on coming down from my eyes. There has never been an anime that made me cry this much. It shows how great this anime is and I am so glad that I'm watching it. I'll come back once I watched every single episode of this loving anime

this scene, this one scene. was the most tragic ending of all of fairy tail. this couldve been how it went down. this was the alternate ending that didnt have to happen but did. the very thought of every single lovable person on this show getting clapped, one by one while lucy watches helplessly is terrifying on its own. the silver lining is theyre all together in the afterlife to continue their adventures.

Anime has only ever made me cry twice and both times were in this arc. Future Lucy and Ultear back to back.

Till this day this scene from fairy tail remains my favorite I started crying because of how much emotion I felt when I watched this I was happy but sad this is a scene I will never forget the way it made me feel...

Now is 2020, I still can't believe Fairy Tail has ended.. I can't accept it.. no more Fairy Tail to watch. It would only lives in our heart, become an eternal memories to treasure :'(

I'm realizing, that in this timeline, Gildarts is the only person alive in Fairy Tail since he is most likely out on a job at this point, or at least not there. He has no idea that his guildmates were killed until he inevitably hears about it... Which just makes this all sadder.

When you realize that Lucy is actually the main character and that Natsu isn't... I mean, disagree as much as you can, but anime started when Lucy joined the guild... Natsu was always in the guild. In the anime, Natsu appears to be the character following and protecting the main character...

This was one of the saddest moments in the anime, second being Zeref and Mavis death This scene showed a really frightning alternate future, lucy dying just to save her past self and the future. Her meeting up with their friends in afterlife and natsu telling to go on adventures with them made me tear up, while main character didnt even die nor any of the cast members. Zeref and Mavis death was the saddest moment in the anime, because you could feel bad for both of them. Zeref was suffering because all he wanted was to bring back Natsu to life since he lost him and their parents in dragon attack. He went insane and studied everything just to fulfill his goal but yet he paid a price for it. This made him become more "Evil". He never wanted to do evil acts however him being cursed didn't let him.

I cried to this song I remembered so many memories of this. It's just I loved Fairy Tail so much. Its part of my life

One Piece and Fairy Tail...my 2 favorite anime! My friends have always asked me...why do I value my friends and family so much....I told them that they haven't seen the adventures I have been on yet. Thank you One Piece and Fairy Tail, I will pass my values on to the next generation as well. Maybe the world wouldn't be so fucked up if more people can see the value of friendship and life.

Wow, hands down one of the most emotional parts in the anime series. So, so sad. I cried like a bitch for hours. It is sort of up for interpretation, but I think it's fair to say this is the afterlife for future Lucy, and Fairy Tail. It's so touching that everyone waited for her, even after they had been gone. Natsu went out with a bang, and took plenty of those fuckers with him, that's a good lad! 👆

man, i never even realized this until recently. fairy tail was the second anime i had ever watched, the first being naruto. me, being the kid i was, cried a hell lot while watching it, seeing aquarius disappear, seeing future lucy die, seeing guild master makarov die and then live again. then i grew up a little, and before i even knew it, i had become just like lucy. i'm ever grateful for having fairy tail in my life. nevermore shall it die, for even if the show ended, it will continue to life on without end in our hearts. 😌👆

I am so glad that Fairy tail isn’t over unlike other popular and lovable animes out there. idk why but future Lucy hit a part of me that I didn't know I had like when she died she wakes up to find everyone she had lost and in that moment you realize that everyone in fairy tail was there and then It hits that everyone in fairy tail died that day the dragons attacked and then the feelings just start to kick in with the music but it is also not sad because she can go back to have eternal adventures with the guild, not to mention they all were waiting for her so it is hard to believe some random girl would be part of this big guild. Also the fact that Natsu was the one to greet her in the afterlife. just bring in the feels everyone!

Watching (listening) to this in 09/2020 after having rewatched the series again. I was watching this in tandem with SAO, and now I have to wait on Hiro Mashima to finish the 100 Year Quest manga so they can continue the fairy tail anime. The journey is not over my friends.

At that moment I couldn't believe..... They died. Not in our reality, but they died.... Natsu, Happy... I distinctly remember when they said to Lucy: Hey Lucy, we're here! We are all waiting for you! Our adventure is not over yet, so let's go!!!....... Oh my god.... This is probably the only moment where I really cried. Didn't try. The tears came out on their own...
