When some people think about being Baptized, some may have this depiction of coming up from the waters with a ✨picture perfect✨ life.
Well, that is contrary to The Truth! The meaning of baptism is to be DEAD to the Old Sinful Nature. And taking on a New Identity in Christ.
Walking out of the waters is a full on process; it’s a LOT of unlearning and GUTTING from the core of our being. He allows us to confront false narratives, distorted thoughts, unhealthy habits, traumas and a variety of trials and tests. In case anyone was curious about being Baptized! It’s not pretty all the time when God breaks us to restore us, but it does produce a life worth fighting for. He is the Master Potter and we are the clay.
