Something tells me that Gary saying "GARY DOES NOT LOVE YOU" is not directed only to John, but everyone. I feel like this was just a facade, a lie so people would believe and follow him. After all when someone loves you, you want to love them back and do whatever to make that person happy. Another proof of that could be that Gary says that he is glad that John got rid of Tiffany for him, meaning that he probably secretly disliked her behind her back, which likely means that he doesn't love his cultists as he says he do. After all he is Astaroth, why would he care about one's love? Gary is not a normal human being like you and me, and Gary does not love you.

To me, this song does not scream "final battle." It screams something entirely different. Earlier today, I wrote a little story on it... *Your former best friend forever lays on the draped table at the front of the chapel, staring you down as you approach. Both of you know what must happen for this world to go on.* *When you reach him, he begins trembling in fear. He does not want to die. You apologize and attempt to talk him into accepting his fate, while doing your best to hold back your tears. Despite this, the young boy is having none of it. He rolls off and behind the table. His eyes begin to silently bawl, before his body lifts off the ground and his runic engravings glow a faint purple. It's clear he's not going down without a fight...* *However, his body is tired and weak. This is not a fight; it's an execution.* *Throughout his attempt at defending himself, he continues begging for you to spare him. He doesn't want to kill you either, but his will to live is greater. You can't help but to stay in silent devastation. All you can do is let your body take control, ignoring his desperate pleas as you slowly tire him out.* *After several minutes, he finally falls back onto the table, his scars now flickering. Malphas is a bird dude and second in command to Lucifer. His appearance is drastically changed in FAITH (retaining wings) but you can just chalk that that up to being “oh demons can just look like whatever”. Astaroth is Grand Duke of Hell in the same league as Beelzebub and Lucifer, and he just kinda looks like a guy. “Gary” does not have wings, just two vestigial feet/legs that flail above his head while he crawls. By process of elimination that makes the pink guy who does have wings Malphas.
