There's a reason you never hear how some rare 1/1 was pulled by someone that got a box off of DA Card World, Blowout, or Steel City Collectibles.

Haven't bought a thing from DA for nearly the same reason, in a LONG time. Got some 2008 UD NFL Ultimate Collection boxes that were highly questionable - cards looked rough, hits were extremely sub par and one box had NO HIT at all, just base cards. They blew me off and never did anything to rectify it, so I've never purchased anything from them since.

How have you guys not covered the fake Jordan auto sold on pwcc? Turns out 10 Jordan rc autos were graded Sequentially by PSA and they are all fake

Problem with these scenarios is each party can point the finger back at the other and the reputation of all involved is such that it's believable that either party was up to some chicanery to screw over the end consumer. Scummy breaker who opens a case, steals the hits and puts some cheaper cards in it's place? Believable. Dodgy wholesaler who does the same? Absolutely possible.

The Dave & Adam's store is a short walk from where I live, and they were my local comic shop for a few years. I never had any issues with them related to comic books, but sportscards and memorabilia are obviously their main moneymaker.

Huge props to SCR for exposing these shenanigans in the hobby.

I've had this exact problem happen to me on a box of 2021 dynasty F1. Opened it myself and found the same card auctioned on PWCC a few months prior...

I am a consumer over there，I questioned this Chinese card store, and I also spent a lot of money at this Chinese card store, but the questioning was only exchanged for threats from the card store‘s lawyer😂😂😂

DA is know to open cases and boxes take out the hits and reseal the boxes and cases. I heard my LCS owner know a guy that went into the back of DA warehouse on accident and seen it first hand with the opening and resealing of the packs, boxes and cases with authentic Topps and Panini plastic. This is unfortunate.

I got 4 packs of 18/19 nba Prizm from DA- they had baseball cards replacing all the cards

Spend a few thousand on 2nd tier cards and repack and sell to D&A for $17K. Decent work for scammers.

Hmm it does bring DACW into question pretty significantly here, I recently bought a 20 box case of Donruss Choice basketball (40 autos) and didn't hit a SINGLE colour auto outside of a couple of last 2nd rounders at the longest print runs of the parallels (/99) - I chalked it up to bad luck but I haven't witnessed a single other case in existence where that has been the case. It's hard not to believe now it was also a tampered case - albeit nowhere near the cost of Flawless, which is insane by any definition.

As someone who lives in Kansas, all I can is muck Fizzou. Even their mailmen.

Solid shit ryan good lookin spreading the word.. idk y provenance of a case showing completely every place its been isnt something a big distributor doesnt have readily on proudcts and having a guaremtee on it for anything under 2-3 years. Provenance is somethinbthat carries so much weight with antiques and with high end items im not sire o can think of a reason why the biggest distributors shouldnt be able to do this when they buy it all direct... Or so we think I mean if a box is older than that unless theve had in in inventory they could easily state that but would shake anyone with common senses faith in the contents and hurt the bottom line.. those greedy could never allow even a thing like integrity to hurt the bottom line. So very shortsighted

I stopped doing business with DA as well after spending 10k with them in a month. Not honest or professional.

BLC tends to be a pretty honest channel, so I doubt they're doing anything shady. I wonder if this will tie into the Panini theft, perhaps card templates were stolen, which makes the fakes so passable?

All you need is a heat shrink machine to reseal anything with that plastic film on it. Someone that works in a warehouse or factory with access to one could rewrap those in 30 seconds.

Watched a case of immaculate WWE ripped ast night w one of the boxes completely missing a mini box and had absolutely no cards in it and the other 3 boxes was total garbage !! I believe 2 iron sheek autos were pulled but now it looks like they were prob put together and resold like that

If all of these distribution companies are licensed to distribute licensed (heck, even unlicensed) products from manufacturers, they should have QC in place inspecting ALL of their products they buy from 3rd party sellers before selling to consumers. And if they do have QC, where is the accountability?!

You can't trust any of these online dealers or stores in general, because they do the same exact thing. This is why I only collect certain players now because of this.

I noticed that you showed the prices of the cards that were already sold that came out of the case for those US dollars or Chinese yen or something because if those cards were valued around the $500 mark that would have meant the cards that they replaced with those cards we're worth even more than a good way to get an idea of the cards that were replaced is to look at any singles that the original supplier of those cases has listed if any I mean if they have a logo man or something else just out of the blue

Once again, when I sent in my PSA cards, I put a $20 behind each card inside the sleeve, and got, from a collector, “this is the most 10’s I’ve ever seen”. I got all 10’s and a few 9’s. I matrixed the system. If anyone wants to know how I broke the system, feel free to ask. It’s hilarious. It’s like the best OF’s investment a man can do. Haha
