If he wasn't a black belt, it took the BJJ guy WAY! too long to...😄 Shitty black belts...

Few things I noticed from this match, this a small town competitive black belt (guy in shoyoroll gi) with the black belt with the white tab, and the other guy is a JUDO black belt, NAGA is an organization that is not regulated by ibjjf, so he would technically wear his judo black belt and compete in expert/black belt division with them, from a takedown he could submit a black belt in bjj but as soon as he’s in bottom his judo and no BJJ experience he would be lost from bottom side or mount. This guy isn’t faking a black in bjj he’s just testing his judo in a local tournament.

As a white belt, I noticed the guy in all black wasn’t putting up a whole lot of a fight as a black belt. Idk he very well could be but once they hit the ground he stayed in the defensive position. I could very well be wrong though

From the title I was expecting to see some actual Japanese Jiu Jitsu, but I didn't see anything like that. Like, not even a little bit.

You are right on which one is BJJ vs JJJ, but you can also tell by the belt. the BJJ belt has a sleeve, traditionally a red sleeve at the tail of the black belt. This one has a white sleeve meaning he has a track record of competition. There use to be minor differences between BJJ and JJJ, but the most notably now-a-days is that JJJ has a lot more stand up game with throws and take downs and plays with ground fighting. BJJ is basically the exact opposite. BJJ plays with stand up, but does a lot more concentration on ground grappling. JJJ does not focus on ground grappling nearly as much because ground fighting on the battlefield means your seconds are numbered before someone comes up behind you and kills you. JJJ was also the tertiary fighting style of the Samurai when everything else failed. Neither of them seemed very impressive though.

Great video man! I’m a white belt so I wouldn’t know too much, but surely there IBJJF can certify someone having a black belt, and then upload it to a system. That way, before a match, there would be a way to electronically verify if a person actually holds a black belt.

Correct me if im wrong, but naga is a much broader association than ibjjf , for all we know they are both legit blackbelts. only difference is dude on the right could be a karate blackbelt (I say karate bc of the thin gi pants, a proper grappling gi is much stronger than the gi they do karate with). So not a fake, unless he claimed to be a bjj blackbelt.

Neither of these people looks like they were taught properly. Just count how many times they have their weight fully resting on mat instead of the opponent. When you said, "Nice pressure", I literally laughed. It is one thing to rest your weight on the mat while teaching someone as people don't learn while scared. Is another thing entirely to somehow make it to blackbelt and not know how to dig your feet into the mat and use your legs to amplify your weight.
