Scammers are so stupid. When they use you to cash out a check or do any work for them, they expect you to do it immediately even if the bank is closed or you’re busy at the moment but the scammer keeps telling you to do it immediately no matter what.

The heck!!! The SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME A COUPLE OF WEEEEEKS AGO!!! He said he was in the Army and stationed in West Virginiaaa! He sent a fraudulent check for about 2000 dollars and was trying to buy some tires that my husband was selling on OfferUp!!!

I ran into the same thing about a year and a 1/2 ago. I immediately could tell the check was fake. Plus the places where the business was didn't even exist. I called him out on it and they wanted to argue about it.

The movers don’t exist. That is the scam. When the check bounces, they take $800 from ur account.

Scammers depends on the sweet trusting nature of people. Parents should caution their kids of being too trusting and when thinks are too good to be true, its probably is.

I've had this happen when I was homeless and 19 in Florida. Someone on Craigslist offered house keeping job, and sent me a check of 3k. To buy the cleaning supplies and pay whatever I didn't spend to a 3rd party "boss". The check came, and it was from a church, not a housekeeping company. Walmart wouldn't even let me cash it lol

I had a similar issue when trying to sell my bike. When i received the check i realized it was faked and so i tore it up and told the guy i had done so and then cut all contact with him.

Tell the scammer, that you tried to deposit the check and they immediately called the bank for quality insurance and after a while, you were greeted by the police and teached about scams and more...

I didn’t know about this atm this literally happened to me and the check was 1650 and I ended up believing him. I was selling my old wheels I just really needed the money due to this pandemic of COVID. I’m so pissed and fuckign annoyed I just want my money back and have this dude be locked up.

The way i see is that if it was a legitimate curator they wouldn't bother trusting someone to split a check between seller and moving company.

This same thing happened to me. Sent me $1800. I figured it was a scam also... but stayed open minded. Actually cashed it. But luckily waited and it didnt clear. But they did close my bank account after lol.

The same thing happend to me !! The fake check , the guy rushing me to deposit funds ....i attempted to deposit the funds and the payment was returned so i called the bank and they confirmed it was fradulent ... lost on what to do and hoping my greendot did not file a report on me ...

I think a lot of people can fall for bad cheques. Can you answer my question about bad cheques? What do the scammers have from it? How do they get money when the cheque bounces? I understood from other videos it looks as if your money is there and then it is gone and the bank charges you for a bounced cheque. I thought you just lose a bit of money like with any bounced cheque. How do you recognize if it is a real one or not?

This is a very well known scam.

So the reason they want u to deposit the check because it take 3 to 7 business days for the check to clear depending on your bank so the faster you deposit the check you can get your funds to.move the couch to.some nigerians scammers and then ur check will bounce after the money has been paid and thats why they choose small banks so u dont call the bank
