You can call it a fake, but it's not! One is the later version, and a most likely a different run of the same chips even looks like a board revision!

Very bizarre. The board looks genuine. It's almost like they just reshelled it then sealed it in a new case

Glad i took the time to open one and do some research though. And good thing i have an original one i knew was real. Case print artwork was HORRIBLE compared to the real one.

I don´t know why you opened it. It is clearly a later release similar to the greatest hits version of the ps2. You opened up a real copy. I hope the seller didn´t refund your money back, not only did you open his sealed game but now he can´t get his value back.

That sealed one is fake! Everything about it was wrong, The wrap was too hard, real factory sealing has flex to it. The box was cheaply printed. It had the incorrect manual (Mega Hits manual in a case that didn’t say Mega Hits on the outside) the cartridge itself had a cheaply printed, off coloured stretched image with paper that was too thick. The only thing that looked somewhat okay was the PCB which was probably swapped out of a shitty damaged copy of Sonic 3

Looks like a new board in the cart, with old chips, coated with fake box, cart label and inlay. Then resealed. I bought sub terrania new a few years ago and it wasn't sealed. The box doesn't have the debossed sega logo on the inside so definitely fake presentation assets.
