I don't really think the smaller packaging and missing charger is part of an environmental thing. More so a hustle to get people to spend more money on power adapters.

It's double earning. With shipping cost Apple basically got a 50% savings getting about double the amounts of phone per shipping container air or sea trucks etc .. with shipping cost being very high and selling so many phones every small save is massive. 2nd is just savings a few $ not putting a charger free in the box And last, the fact that new Apple users have to buy a new charger is just a bonus but most users already have a charger Apple aren't wrong about that.

If he payed a tenth for this clone then he got ripped hard. it is absolute garbage. the only reason they exist is so people can run scams... Don't look at what you can get for 10x more, look at what you can have for same price..... refurbished iphone 8, $150-$200 great camera, good battery life, ergonomic, 24month warranty and if you smash it or lose it you can laugh instead of cry. plus you will get a fresh phone ready for set up, not some chinese phone that has naked pictures of ugly people.

In China they have been making better hardware (keyword here is hardware!) versions of the iphone, that have been cheaper for years. China actually makes great electronics. its just American based companies outsource to China for cheap parts/labor and sell those cheap devices back to other countries. then China will take that design and make better versions that they sell inside China. The difference in this situation is when buying the real iphone you are paying for the security, software and ecosystem.
