About Chase Eagleson:
Chase Eagleson is best known for his work on his KZfaq channel covering popular songs in an acoustic style and performing original music. Many of these videos also feature his sister and fellow musician, Sierra Eagleson. Chase took formal guitar and drum lessons in his early teens for a couple years, but eventually continued self-teaching new instruments, singing and music production. Very nice. I see a simple recorder, did you take it in one shot ? and if so how did you add this reverb on your voice without putting some on the guitare. Or did you took it it 2 takes and made a setup after for the video ? (no jugement here i'm very interested to know if you can still put reverb or effects on a one take shot without doing a mess)

I get this question often! It is one take, guitar and vocals are all recorded live on that Zoom H6. I have the lowpass of the reverb send set so that higher frequencies won't set it off as easily, such as S's in the vocal, or the high strings on the guitar. If you listen closely, you can hear the guitar transients trigger the reverb. My vocal has more dynamic transients than the guitar, and it hits the reverb send much harder. Keep you reverb mix dry and try to take more of the high frequencies out of the reverb to clear it up a little! Hope this helps a tad!

@@ChaseEaglesonOfficial Hi Chase, can I ask an additional question, are you recording your H6 with two mics in the X Y configuration (one on vocals and one on guitar) or are you using a single cardioid? Your guitar looks like the closest and loudest instrument which seems counter intuative since it makes sense to have the mic closer to the vocals. Any tips your willing to share would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea how you get the recording so clean and good recording live. PS love your work

Chase, nearly two years ago, I joined your twitch stream and you sang this song. I was at the lowest point in my life back then, but listening to you made all my problems go away for that night. Ever since then, I’ve been listening to you every single day and it always makes me feel relaxed and glad that I’m alive. I just want to say thank you for putting out such beautiful covers, as well as making your own awesome songs. Much love my man. Oh, and I actually recorded the audio from that stream and I still listen to it. You should really post a cover of Talk Is Cheap by Chet Faker! That was also on your stream.

chase, i love so many of your covers but this one is particularly lovely. this is one of my own favorites from radiohead so i was leery going in but i should have known better - you clearly know how you wanted this song to sound, you are so confident in your vocals and composition, and you do both yourself and thom yorke credit. i hope he hears this.

Chase your connection with this song is so evident. I got chills listening to you take it to that crescendo in the middle. And that echo effect near the end is so well done. Thank you , Chase Eagleson. I have listened to your music a lot since I discovered you randomly. This song in particular made me cry. I used to date a man who was obsessed with Radiohead.I had a huge crush on him for years before that. He even had a tattoo of the Kid A bear on his shoulder. We had a falling out, and I didn't see him for a while. I ran into him in Vancouver, BC. I Lived in Calgary. AB. He wanted me to go with him , and I declined. He said," But when will I ever see you again? Don't let this be the last time." It was the last time. He passed away unexpectedly a little while later. For some reason, this song just made me think of him , and I began to think of all of the other people we lose in our lives and I am so touched. Beautiful beyond words. Keep it up.
