After applying a self tanner set it with baby powder to get rid of the stickiness. It also prevents the tanner from migrating or rubbing off.

Skinny Tan products are my go to - love the mousse but also the coconut tanning water mist - it doesn’t have a guide colour but it’s really easy to apply and has real staying power.

I use their express wonder serum & think it’s fab. I use the coconut water serum for quick top ups too. Smells nice & perfect colour on my pale skin 👍

I love the James Read Sleep Tan, easy to apply with good skincare ingredients, no nasty smell on me it’s a very natural colour, I use his self tanning mist on my face too and it’s excellent

Great video! LOVE TO SEE YOUR MOM'S OPINION ❤️ 💕 I was Jergens instant sun in deep bronze mousse the last year, vita Labera very expensive started me on self tanner. And now trying Best Bronze mousse but it doesn't have color which left patches I had to fill tge next day, but good color. Tacky too long too. Probably going back to the Jergens because it's $13 for 6 oz/ 177mls

Thank you! I’m 57, a couple of years ago, just before covid, was the first time I’d faked tan and that was at a salon not self tan. Had no idea what to use, After watching this I checked to see if Skinny Tan was available here in Australia and it is and bundles were cheaper than another brand I was thinking of trying. Going to give it a try.

Just got the Beauty Pie self tan. Be careful with the knees, elbows, and feet. Wow! But it does fade really quick, so if you mess up…only a day or two of orange.

If you like the St Trpez express, you’ll love the St Tropez purity bronzing water mousse! No guide colour so doesn’t transfer onto sheets! Smells a bit like the other St Tropez, but wears off. I put it on over two consecutive nights to get a deeper colour. Fades gradually but doesn’t go patchy, best one I have ever used! Xx

I've found Guerlain's golden glow, goes on like a body lotion, lovely scent an can be used every day, not sticky and leaves the skin glowing.

Honestly such a great review . Inserts of shots of how it looked on both of you is the only thing that would have made it better. Loving Tan, medium is my self tanner. 2 hour express. Mousse. Not sticky or smelly . Very easy to apply with a mitt. Has a guide color! Love seeing your mom.

Thanks for showing a self tanner for all ages. Love you and your Mum! I have used Vita Liberata self tanning tinted mousse with Marula Oil in Dark for years and I love it. It dries pretty quickly, it does have a little bit of a fake tan smell, but it’s not bad. It gives a beautiful color (I get compliments on my tan) and it fades like a natural tan, no blotches. Unfortunately, I can’t find it anymore 😢 I stocked up when I found it on Amazon. I have been looking for another one to try.

I love Amanda Harrington, but also my fav is Coco & Eve ultra dark. Easy to apply, dries quick, lasts, but is quite expensive tho!

Try Tan-Luxe The Butter! It's wonderful! It's a moisturizer with tanner. I'm pretty sure it's available in the UK. It develops in just a couple of hours. I do put it everywhere. My skin looks beautiful! I'm older (68) so I have to watch for blotchy or orange. Ooooh really! I do put on a robe after applying. I have never seen it transfer to my clothing. No need to wash it after it's been on. I love it! Gemma and Jan..... you're lovely!!!

Beauty By Earth is a great new discovery for me-I am light and cool toned. This product has a great smell,and has lasted 5 days with only one application! Not orange at all! You are very lucky that you look like your mom- you are assured of maturing beautifully!

Tanya Whitebits Rapid Tan Mousse is very similar to Skinny Tan , has a guide colour ,dries quickly without that biscuity smell .I think it lasts longer than Skinny Tan though . Definitely worth checking out

I've been using Tan-Luxe the Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops in Light/Medium. I like that I use my favorite body lotion and add 4, 8, 12 drops depending on how deep of color is wanted. You do need to wash your hands as soon as you're done applying it or your palms can go orange. But my legs have a lovely tan glow that will last for 3 or 4 days or just reapply to keep the glow going.

I have had disastrous results with fake tan. i think it’s partly because my skin is so dry and no matter how much o exfoliate and moisturise I never seem to get it right. Would LOVE a video with tips for applying fake tan as I am also very pale and don’t tan particularly easily in the sun either.

In the U.S. we have a very affordable brand called B. Tan self tanner. I love the color Love at First Tan. It has a violet base so it really isn’t orange at all on my fair skin. I’m brand new to self tanners and I’ve had no streaks with this either. It’s a mouse and goes on great with gloves.

Gotta go with James Reade sleep tan.. no colour in sheets, natural shade to build on and smells ok. No guide colour but not had an issue. 👍🏼

Clarins is the best I've used. Gelée Auto-Bronzante Express is my current favorite. No awful smell (fresh, clean scent), dries down quickly, feels moisturizing but not sticky. Expensive, but I think you get what you pay for. A second place is the L'Oréal Sublime Bronze line. Quick-drying, slight shimmer that helps guide application, beautiful color. Caveat: the fake tan smell develops with time. At least it's not too awful. Very affordable as well.

Lovely to see your Mum again. Fake tan makes me nervous as I applied it once when I was much younger and it looked terrible. I might be brave enough to try the skinny tan, I think the Amanda Harrington one might be too expensive for me. 😊

I love love clear tans because of the guide colour transfer, best tan combo is the st moriz clear medium-dark 2-3 layers with the isle of paradise2-3 layers dark clear spray gives such depth and as a southern slav background its nice to look like my mum and not her ghost child who looks like they won't survive the winter.

I use the Bondi Sands mousse with a mit, and I haven’t had any issues and I when I can I keep it on for at least three hours but not hav to wait super long sounds good. I have wanted to try St. Tropez for a while so maybe I’ll give it a try

Great video ladies 👏🏼 I really do think you need to try He-Shi tanning products! Any one of their liquid tans= beautiful! I’ve got ongoing skin cancer (see my blog on their website) and have tried a product from every single brand- low to high end and nothing comes close. Zero smell, no nasties, wear’s off well and extremely natural. Both my mum and I have used it for years. They have their birthday sale on atm 33% off. Please try them 💕

I love a product called Vita Liberata Fabulous. It is a lotion that develops into a nice golden glow. No smell. Not sure it’s available in the UK and may not be as dark as you want but I use it to even up my uneven golfers tan😂

I've got Vitaliberata. It's pretty good but it does seem to last long on me. I only really fake tan before I go abroad for a sunny holiday as I literally glow white in the sun. At home I use This Works skin tint which is temporary skin makeup that you wash off which is absolutely stunning , softens your skin, it's has a subtle sheen and smells gorgeous.

Hello from North Carolina/ USA 🇺🇸 You ladies are an adorable duo ! Love your British accents. Just stumbled on your channel. I'm also fair/ light skinned.....natural white hair & light blue eyes. I've been using self tanner for years....I've tried so many...& had so many fails....but some successes too. I'm using Bondi Sands Luiqid Gold presently. I do like it. Takes a bit to dry down...not as long as some though. I hate that tacky feeling. I do use a mitt to apply it. Smells nice after applying...coconut scent. No color guide though....I do prefer a color guide. I think the color is natural. It seems to wear well...about 5 days or so. I bought it on Amazon for a good price...on sale. It's mid-range priced usually...about $25.00 USD. Skinny Tan is going to be my next try. Thanks for the good info 😁

I’ve used St Moritz mousse in dark (I’m fairly pale!) for years and love it. It’s about £5 yes it does have a fake tan smell but it’s a great guide colour pop it in before bed or pop it on for 4 hours in the evening. Lovely colour never ever goes patchy and I’m not tempted to try anything else 😄

I'm not a fake tan user but it's always good to know of a couple of goods uns should the need arise. How long do DIY fake tans last? You and your mum are absolute troopers!! Such a shame on the bondi sands - I find the foam much better applied with a mit. Still smells like fake tan after a while unfortunately but smells nice to apply. Got a guide colour and very affordable. I'll be trying skinny tan!

I've tried lots of self tanners and gradual tans, in moisturisers work the best for me. My favourite body tanner is Tan Luxe The Gradual, which is a runny lotion. It smells subtly of raspberries and, with no guide colour, can be used morning and / or night. It sinks in quickly, leaving skin moisturised and the colour develops over a few hours. I have fair, freckly skin and find two applications make for my perfect, light tan. If I want darker or quicker colour, I add a few of the brand's self-tanning drops. It's not cheap, but often on offer and, if you find you love it, QVC often sell huge one litre bottles, which are the best value. For my face I use their Super Glow hyaluronic acid serum or The Crème, their nourishing moisturiser.

I have Amanda Harrington face tan its called perfect face and I love it, couldn't say yet how much as I got it free with erborian products, its fine light cream but it tans beautifully. I have st. Tropez for face and body, 2 separate products , they are clear liquid,that I haven't used yet, having heard some of these I must admit I am abit wary of trying them now, looks like I'm spraying my legs first just to see. I'll get there eventually. Oh I used James read for face and that was a nice golden brown but a shock as it developed overnight, so I woke up and looked in the mirror and was shocked how quick it went to golden brown, I think I put alot of the moisturising cream on.

What part of you body did you try them out?🤣🤣. What draws attention to you and mom is the English Rose (Irish?) skin shade, the big beautiful eyes and the white hair. I love you just as you are. The less unnecessary chemicals I add to my routine the better. I can do just so much😂😂😂. But! I always watch!💕

I just saw the Skinny Tan at the Target store in the U.S. Thanks so much for the reviews. I’ve been using one I get from Amazon for several years, and works ok on my fair skin, but no color guide, so it can be a challenge. Your Mum is looking good as always ! Since I saw this video I bought the mousse from Amanda Harrington, and it's seriously the only self tan that has ever given me a nice tan (I'm pale as snow). Now I just discovered that the whole brand has closed down 😭 can you please look into if there is a substitute just as good? Greetings from Denmark 🙏

My self tan needs have changed since having more little dry patches that the tan clings to😆😩😫😩😫 I use a Qtip with a bit of glycolic acid serum on the spots that tend to darken (about 1/2 hour after applying self tanner)🌸🌸🌸

I use them on my face although you can buy fake tans just for the face if you have problematic skin. Mine is still going strong after a week. I left mine to develop overnight but it isn't necessary x

I know this video is an older one, but I am trying to decide on how to self tan. Does mom have age spots? That's my concern as I have age spots on my legs (lovely lol) and wondering if it just makes them more pronounced? Thank for all your awesome content

I got Amanda Harrington face kit. I like to use bronzer on my face, so maybe i could use on the body? Do you think its the same as body one? I was going to purchase body one, but its always sold out 😔 Thank you kindly and have a blessed day🙏🧡

I don't use full fake tan these days but if I need some colour on my legs use Gatineau gradual tan. Obviously it gives a delicate colour first application but it will darken with further applications. Loads of brands claim no fake tan smell but this is the only one I can't smell. Downside is the price but it comes in 400ml and lasts ages. I just use it as body moisturiser but you can also use on the face.

Having watched loads of Amanda Harrington videos I can’t Seam to find out how long this tan lasts and where SPF fits in. On a QVC video she puts SPF on first so my question is If the tan lasts a week how am I getting my SPF off at night with a cleanse . I have ordered the set Thanks
