I agree with you Joe 100 %. This BS has to stop, my wife Jacqui is not a gear head but is married to one and I'm a licensed mechanic. Jacqui sees the BS on the TV and calls them out on it knowing that I will agree with her, because she is right.

Right on Joe, I agree 100%... My daughters both know how to wrench on cars by working with me when they were young, a great father daughter bonding experience, we have that in common forever!

Well put. My wife's dad taught her to change her own oil, and how to change a flat tire...before she was allowed to drive. She may not be able to do a complete build, but she has helped me remove and install a 4L60E and transfer case, we've done 2 rear axle swaps(gm and jeep), she's removed fenders for me, helped remove and align the hood on her jeep, and helped with suspension work and lift kits. She doesn't need yoga shorts to do it, she's not afraid to get greasy, AND on a different note, we're both firefighters, and she's followed me into burning buildings with a hose line......take that ya pretty fakers....🤨

I agree 100% on this. So many girls wear a low cut shirt and tight pants, and BAM Sponsors and free shit. Meanwhile I will guarantee that 99% of the time, there is a man that taught her how to wrench (if they wrench themselves), and most of the time (not all the time) the same guy or another guy does all the technical work or at least helps them with it. when the cameras are off.

How did I miss this , this is exactly how I feel … it’s the same thing in the hunting industry which I’m a part of and it’s soured me pretty bad . My daughter is 14 also , wants a square body k10 Chevy for her high school truck . Hopefully we find the right project truck for her to work on .
