The Telegraph has reported that Hezbollah has stored a large cache of Iranian weapons at Beirut International Airport ahead of the expected war with Israel. The report added that this arsenal includes several Falaq rockets, Fateh, Burkan missiles, RDX explosives and more. Hezbollah, however, has dismissed the report as ridiculous and has asked journalists and experts to visit the airport and check that the group has nothing to hide. Watch for more details.

ONE thing to remember: Israel does not play by "the rules". If there is a very significant concentration of missile munitions at the Beirut Airport, Israel knows about it, just as Hezbollah knows things about the IDF. Netanyahu and the IDF will not have any moral qualms about using a small nuclear weapon to ensure all those missiles are destroyed, in one stroke. Then the task of a conventional war with Hezbollah can move forward, without the risk of Israeli cities being destroyed - at least in the short-term. On the other hand, if this information is true, then it is already old news and Hezbollah has likely already dispersed its weapons cache.

The warehouse in Beirut was used to store immense quantities of ammonium nitrate improperly stored for years. Now the question of why did it explode boils down to the mismanagement of the port and governmental corruption and negligence. Everybody knew it was a dangerous situation. When a fire broke out in warehouse12 fireworks stored there made the fire get much bigger. So big in fact that it ignited the stored ammonium nitrate creating the largest non-nuclear blast ever recorded.
