This 335 foot tall Intamin Sky Jump drop tower is the first of its kind. When the 32 rider gondola reaches the maximum height the seats tilt forward 90 degrees, facing the riders straight down before plummeting 310 feet in a five-second free fall reaching a maximum speed of 60 mph.

Disclaimer: I have never been shook in a real-life panic way by a ride or any type of movie/entertainment... truly, ever. Until this ride. Dangling at the top, I whole-heartedly thought I was going to pass out and become injured on the way down due to how utterly terrified I felt. In a panic to somehow undo what I had done, I reached out to strangers next to me pleading for their help in stopping the 60mph free-fall descent that would soon end my life. I would certainly have pushed a panic button and ruined the ride for everyone in order to return safely and without having to endure the consequences of my grave mistake. I ended up just covering my eyes and face as much as I possibly could while mentally focusing VERY hard on breathing in deeply through my belly to prevent my heart from exploding. I lived but also learned that day. You are never too old to be traumatized by seemingly normal attractions at a theme park

doesnt look like something for everyone but im all over this thing when i go down to FLA at the end of the year. sadly though part of learning your own personal limits is ruining a ride for a group because you dont know unless you try.

Blair I ABSOLUTELY relate to your experience. I do not know how to describe the feeling that I had as this ride went down. I almost had an anxiety attack and I couldn't control the thoughts in my mind. My brain was literally preparing to shut down. I can't go on this again.

Guys. Otehr coaster enthusiasts know this, but we absolutely rave about some sounds that coasters or rides make. You know, some people rave about the sound of cars. Coaster enthusiasts rave about the sound of roaring roller coasters, especially B&M Inverts. But I rave about the sound that drop towers make when they come near the bottom.

This was the scariest ride I've ever rode I didn't watch what happens once you get to the top so I was in for a surprise. I was wondering why all the kids didn't want to get on lol. I rode it with my mother in law who's in her 60's and my aunt who's in her 70's. Everyone was surprised they rode the ride. It was fun though.

I hated the way it slants forward at the top for about 10 seconds! I could feel the handle bars across my shoulders and seatbelt across my waist as my body pushed forward due to gravity! It was quite a scare until the drop as that was fine. At least roller coasters push you back into the seat..this did not until the actual drop!

I might be wrong, but the operations can't be good! It doesn't seat many people per ride (for a drop tower) and it takes so long to climb to the top!

i went on this ride w/ my dad and step mom and it was awesome so obviously my dad told me go big or go home and if i cold handle the falcons fury without getting sick then i cold handle all of the other rides and i made it through so being the "bad ass 12 year old i am" people where impressed but it scared the shit out of me for 5 seconds

Just remember one little problem with the tilt and the restraints could stop functioning as you're looking at the ground and you fall face first to your death.

Restraints don't just stop working. And there are also seat belts in place.

Clorox Bleach Exterminator also they can only access the restraint unlock while your in the station. The only way a restraint could come undone is if you didn't fit in the restraint and they would probably say you can't ride if that was the case.
