I am impressed by their feeding parent. Whenever any of their chicks snatches the entire piece of the food, the parent bird resists and grabs it back. Holding it under the claws, it then gives smaller chunks equally among the chicks.

Merlin's are like miniature Gyr Falcons , to watch them ringing up into the heavens in pursuit of the Skylark is a spectacular sight to see, great footage.

That was fun. We have Merlins and Coopers Hawks nesting very close to our house. There occasionally is interaction between the two species when the parent birds overlap the other's territory. Merlins are a real joy to watch in flight...extremely fast and powerful for their size. Your video was interesting in so many ways. Thanks.

That type of falcon is called a Merlin they are impressive species.

I love watching the Falcons, actually most raptor birds. I'm currently watching a pair of American Redtailed Hawks. They have 3 in the nest about 2 weeks old! I'm not getting the amazing footage or beautiful views that you have! Awesome job!

A Merlin is one step up from a Kestrel and a Kestrel is a poor man’s Merlin.

Great footage! Hate to see fishing line in any nest tho 😞 why can’t people pick up after themselves. So much damage is done by line that is left.

I don't believe that is fishing line. Please look at the first minute of the first video there you will see long fibers from what maybe farmers baling wrap.
