Mulberry Brandy Bramble
• .25 oz. mint simple syrup*
• 1oz. lemon Juice
• 1 oz. Cointreau
• 1 tbl mulberry preserves
• 1.5 oz. aged mulberry brandy or apple brandy**
• Serve over crushed ice
Garnish:
• Soaked Mulberries and Fresh Mint
• 1 Cup each of dried white and black mulberries
• 1 Cup of Luxardo for soaking black mulberries for 2+ days
• 1 Cup of Cointreau for soaking white mulberries for 2+ days
*To make mint simple syrup: muddle 1 bunch mint with 1 cup sugar; 1 cup water. Let stand for 15 minutes then strain.
**There are a number of ways to age your spirits at home. We used an oak cask but you can also use oak chips or oak shards. You can also buy an aged mulberry or other fruit brandy like Calvados.
