I use Sal Suds as my overall cleaner- simple non-tox cleaner that smells good too ~ I find it works well and is not harmful to humans nor pets; I enjoy your videos and the beauty and simplicity of your warm and lovely farmhouse

Leah - You need to switch to Norwex! It is SO easy and just uses water. Cleans better than any cleaner out there. We moved to a Norwex home over the past several years and never looked back.

I love your kitchen/dining area! We have that in our home as well; not a designated dining room. I love how yours looks! Your hutch is beautiful!! I don't decorate for Halloween any longer as we are empty nesters. I used to when our sons were home but nothing over the top. Fall is my favorite time of year so I put a few touches throughout the house but keep it simple. I have really downsized all my items. Your home is so cozy, warm and inviting. Less stuff means easier cleaning!! Hope you are doing okay and feeling better about life. Loss is so very hard. It just takes time. May God bless your family!!

So many people have allergies now to all the chemicals that are out there for household cleaning, our family is no exception. I like using distilled vinegar mixed with distilled water and 100% pure essential oils (about 5 drops) for cleaning. For windows and glass I use rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and use an E-cloth for glass or a Copper cloth. And for stainless steel I use baby oil and a microfiber cloth. I love your home and the simplicity ❤

As someone with allergies and asthma which triggers are anything scented. Essential oils send me to ER. It's really hard to find safe cleansers. I usually make my own with vinegar and water sometimes I add a few drops of blue Dawn.

I have the same in my home. Dining area but it’s an extension fr the kitchen. I have a rug similar and I also have like dining stuff in there to make it feel like a dining room. Works perfectly for us.

I have been using the diy cleaning products from Noemi from Scandish Home here on youtube. Very inexpensive and effective. I won't go back to buying cleaning products. I can make my all purpose spray and glass cleaner for pennies. There are some serious allergy issues in her family and she uses all natural homemade cleaning solutions. Thanks for the cleaning motivation 🙂

In this video I was using Thieves cleaner. It’s from Young Living. It’s a concentrate so you mix it with water. I don’t have my bottle with me at the moment, but I know you can find the ingredients on their website. Hope that helps!

Thank you! I have had things hanging there off and on, but I always go back to just the blank shiplap wall. In person, it allows whatever is on the table to pop, and keeps things from feeling to cluttered. ☺️

Great video, and lovely dining area. I've been searching for a diy cleaner for wood furniture. Is the thieves cleaner what you were using on your china cabinet, and dining chairs? Will it harm the finish? It would be so nice to have only one all-purpose cleaner.

I've switched my all purpose spray to 1 teaspoon of dawn dish soap and a few drops of lemon essential oil combined with water. It's been working great. I'm not sure if dawn would be considered all natural though?!

Oh neat! I’ve mopped with dawn before and it worked great. We always keep it on hand because there are just some things you can’t use the more natural stuff for. ☺️☺️
