The absolute best to hear from you on this cold snowy day in Idaho!! This made my afternoon, thank you so much, Rachel and Matt, for keeping up with sharing ideas. I love the music so much!! I turn it up LOUD, makes me happy. The painting of the iron, well done! It sets the space for the rest of your work. You all did an amazing job with the plantings, freshening up the flower bed for a new season! I wish you were my neighbor! I have tea awaiting! I have ornamental cabbage growing and in "awe" of the center of it. It is the pigeon red, God must have designed these in the early season of fall. I say this as the summer fades, He gives a new happy color to take place. I appreciate your hard work, efforts to share with us, and the smiles you bring. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend❣

Already have been subscribed to both your channel and blog and you know it is one of my all time favorite places to visit! I think it is the gorgeous seasonal flowers that grab me and pull me in most! It is easy to get trapped by holiday doodads and such and completely miss the beauty of the season we are in and you captured that feeling in such a charming way. Well, y’all have outdone yourselves! Such a beautiful transformation. I love the colors you chose and the chinoiserie jar is such a beautiful, whimsical touch! Plus the chimes are a wonderful added touch! I always feel a twinge of guilt pulling up my old plants, but they served their purpose well and continue on as compost! I always used to collect blue and white dishes and I have a blue and white porcelain pumpkin. I would never have been so brave to put it outside though. Really enjoyed seeing that jar opposite the fall colors. 🍁

LOL! Invasion of the potato vine indeed! My summer pots are looking really similar right now. You did such a great job of sprucing up and putting in some pretty plantings for fall! It's so beautiful! I love the color combinations. In my area, the mums that are planted in the ground will return for another few years, so well worth the cost of purchase and effort of planting. Even those in pots could be planted in back yard and used again future. I love the unexpected touch of the huge blue and white jar in the flower bed. Such a lovely touch!

Ohhhh, everything looks beautiful. I love the flowers and how nice the wrought iron turned out after being spray painted. I always feel that wind chimes are just the cherry on top of any outdoor refresh. They give off such a calming sound when a breeze is coming through. My favorite part, well it’s the entire refresh because everything you did balanced the effect to gorgeousness 🥰. What a difference!! Take care ~ Janet 😘

Oh Rachel, you and Matt did a wonderful refresh on the front patio! You got a nice variety of plants. I love pansies and violas. Love all the colors of the mums. My snapdragons left last month but I save the seeds. We got our first snow here today, brrr. A good excuse to stay in and cook, like I need an excuse lol. Love the sound of the chimes, they are so soothing. Have a lovely day!

Love all the mums .so beautiful! I have one of those cast iron wash pots and I have placed each one of the three legs down inside old electric glass isolators. I had some blue ones. This elevated the pot and looks real nice! Just an idea that I’ve done for the last 40 years!

It all looks so pretty Rachel. Love the pink chrysanthemums 😍 you must have an amazing compost bin. All those leaves and old plants would make the best topsoil in about 6 months. Love the wind chime too. We're waiting for the weather to stabilise here so we can start work in the garden. Winter doesn't want to leave. Still flooding and high winds. Take care ❤️❤️

Hello Rachel, I just love how welcoming & relaxing your Fall front porch looks. I love the the black iron work, the staggered heights of the pots near the railing & the beautiful flower colours. You also have such an eclectic collection of pots to display your plants in. They all look like they have been well loved & used for years. Love all the beautiful things you've done, all the beautiful plants and sprucing things up. I have a question. Is that a sliding door on the front of your house? Can I ask why that is there because it appears that the interior space there looks like it should be exterior space. Have you considered taking that off and just opening that up?

Hello Miss Laura! I'm glad you enjoyed the porch refresh. Yes, it is a sliding glass door, and yes, it is an odd arrangement. This little area has become a useful spot similar to an entry and allows us to overwinter plants.

Hello, Miss Susan! Good question. Eventually the mums will freeze, but we tend to have weeks of fairly mild weather here, and these flowers prefer cooler temps. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit!
