This is perfect, just the sort of mix I need for studying for finals! So many lo-fi mixes miss the chill vibes that I'm looking for. If there's too much of a drum beat, I can't relax. This is just right~

The smell of the wet grass after a night of continuous torrential rain. Wind, gently blowing on your face, lifting your hair off your forehead. The piping hot sensation of freshly brewed coffee racing down your esophagus while your taste buds take in the slight acidic, sweet notes of the murky liquid with glee. The sound of the river stream caressing your ears as you put your cup of coffee down and take in a big breath through your mouth. As you take air in, you feel your muscles relaxing and your worries washing away. Your eyes are closed but the bright sun still makes its presence known through your eyelids, reddening your field of vision. You suddenly remember that you forgot to go forage for wood for tonights campfire and put your overalls smelling of the same perfume it has ever since you were a child. Even though your parents are long gone and you are all alone, you still use the same laundry detergent your mother did. Upon picking up the axe handed down to you by your father, you notice the signs of rust rearing their ugly head, reminding you that this too will give out one day. The memories you made with you father while you were child, walking through the woods, making them your own and learning every skill your father is teaching you. At the beginning you could hardly swing the axe right, but now, with no more than two strikes, even the densest branches fall with ease on the ground, sliding slightly on the mud. You make a mental note to dry out some of the wood to keep for later use and haul your bounty back home. Unbeknownst to you, most of the day had already passed while you were wandering through the forest, taking in its sights and its atmosphere. You pay it no mind as you enter through the door into your childhood vacation home, although renovated where it was needed. The floor no longer creaks even under the heaviest weight and the fragrance of the apple wood fills your little cabin as you sit down in the same rocking chair your father used until the day he died. You use the remnants of last nights fire to kindle new embers close to which you place your to-be-used wood. As you relax into your rocking chair, even more memories from your childhood come rushing back in, filling you wild nostalgic feelings that can not be regained. Your mothers laughter as she pokes fun at dad at any chance possible. Your fathers sullen face as on the inside, is eaten by shame and embarrasment. But there is something different about it all. A certain... warmth those feelings impair into your chest. You are alone. Everything feels the same but distinctly different. This is not paradise. This is hell. You wish deeply to be with your parents, for things to be as they were way back when... but you know. They would be disappointed if you reunited with them too soon. And so, another day begins.

I don’t know if it’s the holidays, or seeing others in relationships, but I miss being in love. I don’t know if I just romanticize relationships too much but it’s hard trying not to have an idea of “the ideal relationship”. I’ve been on Delulu-art tok way too much and now I don’t even know if I have a crush or am projecting feelings into the closest thing to a crush. Feelings are just hard and I wish they were easier :(
