FALL days in the lifeeee! Got facials + dinner with my friend Ally and also got my first set of fall nails hehehe! Recorded an episode for Sarah's podcast & talked alllll things dating... so I thought I'd fill you guys in on some of the experiences I had in the last couple months that got me feeling prettyyyyy down!

I decided that dating isn't for me. I will just stay single and enjoy being with myself. I am 53 years old and even in my age group all men want are to sleep with you on the first date. I am not about that, at all. So, I don't usually get asked on a 2nd date. I get made to feel bad because I don't want some guy fondling me and I don't want to fondle on them. Just disgusting if you ask me.

One general rule from a few dating experts I have listened to is don't sleep with them until you both make the commitment to be exclusive. Men will always try to sleep with you when they are attracted to you and often times if you do give in too early, there is not enough of an emotional connection to keep pursuing you after that. Not always, but as a generalization you should solidify really getting to know someone as a person before giving that part to them. Especially with men, they literally move into a different part of their brain after they sleep with you and if you don't first establish that connection often times once they get that part they will stop wanting to get to know you! UNLESS there is already a deeper connection established. Again, there are always exceptions, but this is a thing that happens often and that's why dating experts say don't give that part away until you have a commitment to be exclusive with each other. A couple of dating coaches I love on KZfaq are Matt Boggs and Matthew Hussey. 👌

Not always the case though, I was physical with my husband before he asked me to be his girlfriend. However, we moved fast and got married a year after dating and here we are going on our 5th wedding anniversary. Everyone's situation will be different but I will say, the connection I had with my husband is one I had never experienced with anyone else so I know that we might be an exception to the rule.

@@wendyvick9908 There are always exceptions, of course! That's why I kept saying that it's a generalization. It's just a general guideline while out in the dating world. Men and women's minds work very differently when it comes to this, so it's good to understand that part of them.

I'm 27 years old and I've never had a boyfriend and it seems like with time dating gets worse and worse and it is a lot harder to find decent men out there and sometimes I think maybe its me and I'm the problem BUT seeing someone as great, sweet, successful and beautiful as you go through those dating experiences.. wow I really am shocked.. It's really not us but the men 😐 thank you for sharing I know it sucks but it feels a little comforting knowing this experience can happen to anyone and its not just me.. love you Tara!

Dating is definitely hard but don’t give up! For me it was when I stopped putting pressure on it and relaxed I found my person. Every relationship is different but I instantly felt comfortable and safe, now married five years. Good luck!

I’m honestly so glad your talking about your dating experience on here and being so open. It’s something that us women experience with men constantly flirting and sexualizing us, it disgusts me 100%. Which is why I usually don’t put myself out there and wait to meet someone naturally. I hope you don’t let it hurt your confidence because it didn’t have anything to do with you, you show up as you and they decide what they feel it’s something out of your control. When will men be decent human beings? Who knows.. I know NOT ALL men are like this but a big majority of them are and it’s disgusting. God bless all the women dating and dealing with this right now, be you and be alert don’t let anyone convince you to do anything you feel uncomfortable with, simply stand up and leave! I met my husband I was 35, we started as friends and 2 was after going on real dates he proposed. Then i had our son, and married 3 😁 yrs later. He passed suddenly in early 2001. For those few yrs we had, I always felt loved and important to him. You will find your true love when the time is right for you and I will jump forward joy for you. Don't feel rushed and relax.

As someone who struggles with jaw pain from clenching- it's awful! I also get migraines from it too when I'm clenching more than usual (mostly from extra stress). Stretching, neck, and cheek massages all help relieve some of the tension for me.

I’m so sorry to hear about your dates, I can’t believe they did that to you!!! You are SUCH a sweet, genuine, beautiful human being, the RIGHT person WILL come into your life when he is supposed to. If the 3rd date, god forbid, is awful, just give dating a break…when you stop looking, you will randomly meet someone that will make your heart swell. BUT a piece of advice, if they give you butterflies, it’s not always a good sign…it’s a warning. Take a good minute to sit with yourself and ask your spirit guides for some guidance…I’m a huge believer in them giving you signs when you need it. ❤️

the things you said about being a good judge of character and being blindsided by the sudden change in behaviour , I think its getting so damn common now. In a whole different part of the world, I have experienced the exact same thing. Not only feeling hurt and "used' but also questioning our own judgement is a very disorienting thing. My friend once said that men have just gotten better at wearing the mask of a "nice genuinely good guy" and usually after 4 dates it slips off and you see their real intentions and actions. Its so damn hard, this dating thing. Hang in there, we are all in the same boat and I continue to hope that I'll find someone great but until then I am enjoying the single life

Aww my stomach flipped when you were talking about the dates. It is so relatable and honestly has scared me off dating. I also loveeee being single so the urge to start dating again isn’t strong because I genuinely don’t feel like I need it, but I’d love to get married one day. The struggle! I’m sorry you had to go through that. Men get away with it as “the norm” but it’s so fucked up to do that to someone. Just because it’s relatable and every woman has experienced it, doesn’t mean it’s okay. I have met wonderful, gentle and considerate men before and do believe it’s possible. Hang in there ❤

A court of thorn and roses series is very good. First one is a bit slow but book 2, OMG. So good! ❤ As for the jaw pain, Botox really helps. I have terrible TMJ and the Botox helped so much!

I used to be the same way until I started getting migraines. Now if I have a hint of a headache I take excedrin cause I don't want to be knocked out for 2-3 days!

Tara I have really bad tension headaches and a bad back instead of meds I listen to different frequencies to ease the pain. There’s a frequency for everything that ails you and more and they work. You have to find the one that works for you. They have binearal beats and rife and so many more with or without music. I use them with ear buds and I even sleep and meditate to them. I hope you try this and find the one that will help you especially with your TMJ cause I have that also but since listening to the frequencies it’s not hurting anymore. Love and hugs from PA, USA! ❤

Oh honey those stories at the end sucked! I’m so sorry you were treated that way! I had a really similar experience where after 4 dates I slept with someone who seemed so genuine and kind to only be told immediately afterwards that he was moving state and he’d never see me again… And now, I’m with my fiancé who made all the shit dates worth it. Trust me baby girl, you’ll get your family one day ♥️

I also struggle with jaw pain and headaches and I usually get Botox to relieve the clinching. I can’t tell how much it’s helped with tightness in my jaw, neck and horrible headaches!
