How so?" he asked to which you gave a thought, "Well you know... when the original archon dies... sometimes they get replaced? But just how? How can someone harness the power of a god? Or were they created just to serve as one?" you continued your questioning and Zhongli chuckled lightly at you. You paused and he took notice of your staring, "Sorry I meant no offense but for a mortal you surely have a big way of thinking", he said. You nodded your head and stared at the glaze lily. ... "Hey Zhongli I'm sorry but... can I ask?" you muttered and he hummed a 'yes'. "Why do glaze lilies remind you so much of lady Guizhong?" you asked and he remained silent. ... Just when you were about to apologise he answered, "They were her favorite flowers... but they were also the flowers that she died upon", the longer he talked the more silent he got and you took his hand. "Sorry", you said quietly and kept staring at the grass while keeping his hand. He stared at you with shock laced in his eyes and let his expression soften after awhile, "Pay it no mind.. sometimes I tend to get too fixated on my past" he said with his usual calm tone which relaxed you alittle, "Well you could say I'm at fault... afterall I asked", you forced out a nervous giggle. You kept staring at the rising moon and the puffy clouds tinted with brighter colors of the dark sky got your adoration. They were a sight which you didn't see all the time on top of the ever so glowing moon and as long as you were alive you'd keep on praising rare occassions like these. Seconds turned into minutes and minutes turned into hours and as the time passed so did your hunger for sleep keep growing to the point you started yawning alot. "I guess It'd be wise to go back to Liyue Harbor", Zhongli said and you denied, "No, no I'll manage... I'll stay awake..", you mumbled. It wasn't long until you kept convincing yourself repeatedly in mind to stay awake and each blink you took made you feel so tired. 'I'll keep my eyes closed for awhile. Just remember to not fall asleep' you thought and you knew it when you knew it that if you actually would have managed to say awake you would have been lying. Your sleepyhead self leaning against Zhongli's shoulder sure caught him off guard if I must say however this was what he had expected. Mortals may be quite stubborn but he didn't have the heart to wake you up so instead he also went to sleep. You woke up, not in the same place you fell asleep in however. You sat up and noticed someone familiar sitting on the edge of your bedside with their legs crossed. "Mister Zhongli?" you mumbled still alittle tired and hearing his voice you could assure that it was him indeed, "Seems you didn't manage to stay awake last night", he said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. You thought and browsed through your memory and realised what he meant. And then you also understood that he must have carried you here which of course would be embarrassing. "Oh goodness I'm so sorry! I'm sorry it was very stupid of me!" You apologised and he gave a reassuring smile whilst standing up, "Don't worry it's all fine. Let's converse again when we'll meet", he said and you nodded eagerly. "Well goodbye for now Y/N", he said and left the room. "Byee", you responded a bit too late.
