Some friends and I doing the Pure Prairie League classic(s). From left: Tanner Walter, harmony vocals and rhythm guitar; Myles Pinder, Lead vocals and tambourine; Josh Turner, lead guitar and harmony vocals. Certainly not devoid of error, but here it all is anyway.

5-5-2024, I'm 73 years old and always liked the Pure Prairie League's, Aimee each of the hundreds of times I have heard it. However, this version, by Tanner, Walker and Myles is the absolute, best version I've ever heard and the young man on the right with the guitar, picks with his soul. Top shelf gentlemen!

I will never forget sitting on the beach around a fire in about 77 with a bunch of friends when someone popped this into our cassette player, EVERYONE knew the words and harmonies, we sang it at the top of our lungs...pure joy

Miriam Green I love Vince Gill’s voice and talent. However, I have to say that ol “Sweet Pea” does not actually appear on this song, as he did not join the band until mid-1978. The original recording of “Amie” was completed either in 1970 or 1972, I believe.

Very good , thanks I enjoy all the old songs you do. Today I heard 16th avenue by Lacy J Dalton and this time I found out what the song truely is about. Although a lifelong Nashvilian, it's about the people who come from all over the USA with paper in hand of songs they have written. It's about coming to music roll and staying in boarding houses with a dream of getting their songs recorded. It became known as the song writers National anthem. 16th Ave is music roll a one way street from way back.

No one ever has been able to top "Falling In and Out of Love" as a pure, beautiful, piece of music that everyone some 47 years later still relates to and loves.. You 3 good men - Wow - Just perfect ! When you young guys get more time singing and learn how to use Vibrato like the middle guy does, you Will be the closest version of that awesome group, Pure Prairie League.. I never get tired of hearing Myles voice and phrasing (or Josh's guitar work & harmony with Tanner as this trio) on this song especially, and also on the short bridge in the middle of Suite Judy Blue Eyes ("Can I tell you like it is...Listen to me baby...") and then he goes up for "It's my heart that's a sufferin'..." with that killer soulish falsetto (or head voice? Lucky bastage either way!) So as a commenter below said, looks like he's getting (gotten?) married and I'm assuming that's why he's NOT in The Other Favorites? Good golly - the contrast and possibilities of Carson's commanding & pitch-perfect voice in the lower tessitura, Josh in the middle (and that boy can get up there, too! He face look cute, too, when he do!) and Myles expressively on top - imagine the possibilities! (Go for it, Myles, you can get married later! If your lady throws a fit & denies you the expression of your beautiful talent...then what have you got to lose?)
