Thank you for your kind words. Juliana (now age 10) is so "cuddly." She's our youngest and, I think, likes it that way. She's gone through cancer twice at age 5 and then at age 9. We are praying everyday that it does not return.

I watch this video a lot. It brings such joy to my heart watching baby Juliana run to her “mama” and “papa” and hug them tightly! Such a loving baby! She must’ve gotten a lot of love and attention at the orphanage. If I had gone there I would’ve adopted Juliana in a heartbeat. I can’t imagine how heartbroken the Carvers must be without her in their lives. She was such a special little girl now she’s a special little girl in Heaven.

She is absolutely adorable! You can tell you fell in love with her from the first moment you set eyes on her. I do believe God knew she was going to need a very special mommy and daddy in the future and you were chosen to be her parents. What a blessing she was.

Her beautiful smile, those itty bitty teeth, her adorable little run to the door, first hugs, her dancing, the magic of being new parents all over again. All of this is just so beautiful, for so many reasons. Especially since she has passed :( I was adopted from Paraguay, and I can imagine this is a lot like what my parents must have been like upon first meeting me. This video has filled a whole in my heart I didn't even know was there. I can't thank you enough for 1)your strength and bravery 2)letting us all see this precious moment. I was meant to see this, for sure. Your story has had the most profound impact on me. I will think of her beautiful soul often.

@egauthre Juliana was living in an orphanage with "special needs" kids. Juliana's eyes were crossed so, in that culture, a child with that condition is considered "special needs." We had her eyes straightened shortly after we adopted her.
