I think the screaming at the end shows his frustration, desperation and fear that he can't change. And the lyrics in this version are so much more meaningful and fitting for this style.

and he even managed to make us feel it with his facial expressions, his acting in these music videos is amazing. even if you don't understand the desperate call in his screams you can definitely understand it by looking at his facial expressions.

@@DyvmSlorm I think the snowy landscape represents him trying to quit drugs and the ending is him saying, at the time, he couldn't quit. Like a heaven and hell sort of thing

This song isn’t about a woman or a relationship. Well, it is kind of about the relationship he has with himself. He wrote this song while In prison reflecting on himself and his own mind and dark thoughts. Knowing he is his own worst enemy and the toxicity in his life comes from within himself. You can tell by the lyrics the mental battle he was facing and the dark thoughts that filled his mind. This song definitely gives me chills every time I listen to it even on the 1000th time! Also Ronnie didn’t compose this piano piece but he does play it! He can play quite a few instruments ☺️

Ronnie likes to put Easter eggs in his videos for his fans. The girl in this video is from the album cover The Drug In Me Is You, the courtroom in Popular Monster is the same courtroom from The Drug In Me Is You video, the vampire teeth are referencing I am not a Vampire. I can't wait this Friday is part 2 of his Live from the Unknown virtual concert!

The girl in this video is the same girl from the cover of their album "The Drug in Me Is You" which was released on 2011. And the teeth were a clue that he was doing a revamped version of "I'm not a vampire".

Ronnie is a modern day Freddie Mercury in my opinion. He is such a talented musician. There is very few people that can do what Ronnie does.

Ronnie is an amazing Piano player and he can also play guitar :) Those chords he was hitting on the piano were the exact same chords Darrek played on guitar in the original track ;)

I wish he had more of these! I would love if he reimagined his whole first album. I have a feeling something new is coming soon though, just not sure what ... Oh and the girl is the same as the girl on the cover of the original album. And ... he had the vampire teeth as an Easter egg clue that he was redoing I’m Not a Vampire next!

Lex's face when the music got heavy: priceless I'm gonna enjoy seeing that in every reaction video 😂 If you haven't checked out Linkin Park yet, you should start with Crawling, In The End and Lying From You. I'm thinking you might have just because they were really popular band. A few other bands: Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Bring Me The Horizon, Alice In Chains, Tool. Tool might be an acquired taste, so it's okay if you both are not into them 😊

There are other FR songs but I'd love a reaction to Voiceplay's Oogie Boogie or something by Home Free (Cash cover of Ring of Fire or Folsom Prison Blues... also the cover of Man of Constant Sorrow or How Great Thou Art but be careful, any of those will open a giant rabbit (gopher) hole for new content which would also include Pentatonix)

He wrote that song (the original) while trying to handle and cope with his drug addiction. So "the drug in me is you" (and to an extent also the whole band 'falling in reverse') is basically him talking to his addiction and himself and how it's hard for him to end this abusive relationship he has with his demons and on how to get better.

Great Reaction Brad and Lex! Fav couple reactors to music lately. I seriously hope you give more of the genre of where ronnie came from a chance. I posted a list of Post Hardcore/Screamo bads/songs a few videos ago. I seriously think you will love the messaging in this genre. You also need to look into bands like TOOL, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Team Sleep, Crosses for that Philosophy / Cultural rock. Its a rabbit hole that everyone jokes thats how you get your 3rd eye lol

I just watched a video where Ronnie Radke said when he uses the word "drug" it refers to addiction. Could be TV, food, porn, sex, another person, whatever. I thought that was interesting.

I look at the first song about a woman or whatever but this one hits home because its more introspective and a deeper look into your own dark psyche, same lyrics but this one just seems more of a straight look into the mirror.

Yes. The Drug, re-imagined was done before I’m Not a Vampire- Revamped... it was foreshadowing for his fans that the Vampire song was coming. And yes, he plays the piano really, really well!

The girl was the cover girl on the album where the original song was on. She is kind of these impersonated scene/emo girls and all the girls back then wanted to be like her. (At least that's what I heard. I never heard of Falling in Reverse before last year and missed the whole emo/scene era). Knowing Ronnie's drive for perfection I'm pretty sure he learned to play the song for the video (he's a great piano player), but on the recording it's an Irish piano player, who had the idea for the piano cover in the first place and sent it to Ronnie. Ronnie plays guitar and drums, too by the way.
