Some of those rules and fines just seem so ridiculous. I really don’t think that best effort rule is in the best interest of the animals. Some of those fines just seem more like cash grabs to go back to the PRCA committee than for an actually legitimate good reason.

The animalistic are taken better care of than the humans. You don’t qualify for the NFR on ran in the ground horses.

@@juanitalee225 I don't think anyone is implying that the horses are run in to the ground, but things like having a horse fall- it should be mandatory to pull up, not fined if you do. Certainly in any FEI governed discipline you MUST withdraw after a horse fall. I can understand that they want to encourage people to put on the best show possible. It looks bad if people scratch to avoid a low score as a strategy. But, there has to be a way to do it without encouraging people to continue on a horse that just went down.

@@chiron.equine I always pulled mine up & even did if a hit barrel hits them in the legs! Those barrel cut, bruise & can chip bones.

I got to watch the 8th round of the NFR but before I went I got to go to Cowboy Christmas. I got to meet Fallon there and talk to her and she was so sweet!!!

Thank you for telling what it takes to go to the NFR! My friend and neighbor Gail Hillman made it 2 or 3 times. She has AWESOME horses out of her qualifiers!

I’ve been a fan of y’all’s since the shirt off your back days girl, and I’m so proud to tell anyone who stands still long enough about all of your accomplishments. Even if you never again run the ground at the NFR, you’ve accomplished a hundred lifetimes of amazing success that no one NFR winner can say they have-and that’s worth it’s weight in a quadrillion gold buckles. ❤❤ Thanks for all the good info.

Rolling up your sleeves is not just an NFR rule. At a PRCA rodeo I loaned a horse to a rookie barrel racers who’s horse was injured. She ran the fastest time and would of won the rodeo but was disqualified for having her sleeves rolled up.

Thank you for the information from behind the scenes so the general public knows what really goes on. Between you, Cody Ohl & Matt Cohen, I think alot of eyes have been opened about things that the everyday person didn't know went on. Also, when you guys divulge the information it makes even more sense when some of these contestants make the statement "I'll probably get fined for that!"

I've followed ya for a long time I don't have horse anymore I only had 2 because they were abused and I couldn't stand it so I took them in had for 3 years and gave to a awesome home I've never been to a rodeo but you and your girls are awesome and your videos help the up coming girls and that's great thank you your a super role model for our kids and adults too keep them coming

We were at the NFR in 2016, I believe, but it's because a friend of ours was a finalist in the colt starting competition in the same building as part of the Cowboy Christmas so that's as far as we got.

I enjoy watching your videos. I was laughing so hard in this one when you were talking about the NFR fines, some of them seem silly but they have there reasons. While working one time I was taking the sponsor flag down the tunnel for the end of the dogging. While I was giving the girl her flag and they opened the gate. Roy Duvals horse spooked I stepped in the arena to help and as I did my hat was knock off. I was fined 100 for entering the arenaand 50 For loosing my hat.

I have a question maybe someone here can answer. On the NFR barrel racing last night Donna Kay Rule & Shelly Morgan both had red tape on their horse's muzzle. I noticed the tape in earlier rounds but can't remember if it was Donna and Shelly or not. The tape isn't attached to the bridle. I don't think it has any writing on it. So - what's the tape for?
