As he should. There's little nuggets in each joke like the crossfit one where you need a second to go oh shit he went there and i love it.

I think it works ok. But, sometimes it might be better to have a bit of filler there instead, so it's not so obvious that you're waiting after every joke. Most often it would be essentially contentless filler, but sometimes it could be some filler that kind of underscores the punchline to help the last few people get it. And of course sometimes just waiting like he does is good too. And sometimes you want to launch straight into a quick new joke so they're still laughing at the previous one when you hit them with the next punchline -- as long as they can still follow instead of getting stuck. Anyway, he was great, very impressive talent.

its a passing joke poking at the perceived lack of creativity in his siblings' names because of the common syllables, jokingly justifying/explaining away the lack of creativity by saying they 'couldnt afford more letters'. it's also a culture thing, so for some people it's relatable.
