"I would really appreciate some privacy in this time of mourning( or loss or grief or 'deal with this family matter')" It's funny because she is treating the loss of her gap like its something she needs to ask people to give her privacy while she deals with it, but she can't even finish the phrase without laughing.

Jimmy fake laughs in interviews a lot but this is a really good example of how he is with guests that he's actually interested in and has some chemistry with. Their whole dynamic is so much more fun than a lot of his other clips.

I thought she was very genuine and thoughtful in her response to that question. She could've laughed and made a joke contradicting what he'd said about Shia. Instead she acknowledged and used his wording in her answer so he could hear how it came across. And she did a great job of defending her costar without coming across as argumentative or phony.
