Back in the 80s, Madonna, Michael, Whitney and Prince ruled. Out of those four great musicians, only Madonna is left. I miss the others and I'm glad Madonna is still here with us. We love you , Madonna!

Younger people will never understand how iconic Madonna was to those of use experienced it while it was happening. The 80s /90s were such a special time. Her, Michael, Janet, Prince, Whitney, and so many more. I am just so happy I was alive then b/c they are such fun memories of being excited to sit in front of the TV for hours waiting for my favorite videos to come on. You may not understand Madonna, but she is a literal living legend and deserves respect.

I don’t understand why she allows them to Photoshop her social media images beyond recognition. She looks like 25 on her Instagram. Madonna was always about self confidence - she should just be proud of who she is and what she looks like!

@@mysticalsouls I suppose. But even though plastic surgery focuses on elimanating signs of ageing, it never truly succeeds. There’s a certain air of insecurity when a mature woman fakes images to look 25. Not just look better, but to actually look 40 years younger.

Such a shame people have insecurities at her age, ‘growing old gracefully’ is far more endearing and she’s robbed herself of that. In some aspects she now looks younger than her daughter and that’s shocking, almost an act of ‘mutilation’ to oneself

Madonna is a legend who is still alive. People have always criticized her for one thing or another and she rises above it. Now people are criticizing her for her looks, weight, etc expecting her to be her young self forever, but she is 64, let her age how she wants. Icons from the 80's such as MJ, Whitney, Prince, are gone, but Madonna, she is still here with us luckily, possibly because as she has said in interviews, she doesn't do drugs, eats very healthily, and loves to dance. She takes care of herself in ways others may have not. She has always been goofy and able to laugh at herself in interviews. Maybe there is a health issue she wants to keep to herself. Just watched her Superbowl halftime show from 11 years ago, which I think is one of the best ever. She knows how to put on a show and be inclusive and collaborate with different style and new artists. Her concerts are still selling out from $200 for "cheap" seats to $1000's for up close and personal near the front seats.

Maybe you think she rises above people criticises her but since she's human, I bet she's had hurt and emotions because critics of her are cruel. She has to put on a happy face for the public, but no one knows how she is in the privacy in her home. Rosie O'Donnell said her and Madonna were in an elevator and some guy got into the elevator and the first thing he said, "You look better as a blonde", she had died her hair black for some reason. He didn't compliment her or just be excited to even see Madonna, he just kind of criticized her for how she looked.. after he said that Rosie can see Madonna went silent. So, something that small, effected her. Bur since she's always in the public eye, she has to pretend her life is perfect and happy.

@@champagneveli552 yes absolutely but not all hosts do this. Letterman was terrible because of his ego. there's others i could name. A lot of people openly express their disdain for Jimmy because they feel he's pretending. But in certain situations there's a kind charm in pretending a joke is funnier to you than it really is. He's so warm. I watched almost all his shows from home and they gave me so much gentle joy.

I hated it. All those big shoulders pads, big hair and power suits. David Bowie was not a good singer. AIDS was a massive issue. Drugs became so much more available. However, Queen was legendary and Madonna was a good singer. So sorry how weird she has become! Not a great role model for young girls.

For anyone that didn't grow up in the 80s, its hard to even explain her influence on pop music. Taylor Swift also has a lot of hits but hasn't changed fashion and culture like Madonna did. I was a rock kid at heart, AC/DC, KISS, Aerosmith but I bought the cassette of Like a Virgin the week it came out. She transcended genres and her performances were crazy, Like Prince and Michael her legacy will be forever.

I never could thing that one day I would say something negative about Madonna because I admire her so much , but this appearance just shocked me! A couple of years ago she had such an amazing speech on “woman of the year” and now I see that she unfortunately surrendered to the things, she had pointed out that time! Such a shame!

@@Red_Rebel I worked in medicine for over a decade. I promise you, that what Madonna has done...is far from "being herself". Who would she be without mirrors, social media, plastic surgeons...etc? How is succumbing to intense societal pressure, youth worship, altering herself beyond recognition, free? It's not. It's enslaved to an ideal, chasing the vapor of youth through barbaric means of complete self betrayal and self loathing. If you are free, and love yourself, you feel no need to alter yourself as you are. You accept life, aging, as it comes. Sure, she can do as she pleases....but I refuse to buy the narrative that it is because of "freedom".

OK,so she looks really uncomfortable with all the weight she's carrying and can't even get up out of the seat because of the footballs for bum cheeks,you can tell she's aware that she looks ridiculous but has to go along with it to appear cool,you can't help but feel so embarrassed for her,as for the son he's being moulded and will never know his true self he's really annoying

I am a couple years old than Madonna and have followed her career from the beginning. I love her early career in the 1980s to early 1990s. It saddens me that she got so much plastic surgery since the mid-2000a, which made her face look very bloated and puffy. I am really surprised of her weight that does happen "after the change.: I have to say those ultra bagging sweats like a long skirt looks awful !!! Choice and amount of jewelry is awful too-very ghetto to be honest. The whole ensemble is a disaster. I am really surprised. Even her voice sounds different. We all age if we are lucky.
