Bittercup is my favorite person in Fallout, be it New Vegas, 1 or 2, 3 or 4. Even in the wasteland, teenage angst never changes. I always use the Fallout 3 settlement building mod (works great btw) to turn Big Town into a thriving, safe place for the young adults who arrive there.

Big Town was perhaps a proto-settlement-building experiment. Too bad they overdid the concept ad nauseum in FO4. I enjoyed "checking in" on my Big Town family and reverse-pickpocketing good weapons and armor for them after teaching them to defend themselves.

I was kinda reluctant to do the Big Town mission but when I finished Anchorage. The Jingwei's Sword was pretty OP against Super Mutant. Bittercup was a cute character in my opinion, ahead of the curve I would say. I finished Fallout 3 like a week ago. 👍

Wont deny that I'm slightly curious what having Bittercup as a companion & an actual romance option would have been like. Although I could see her sometimes complaining and not very good at combat, she'd likely have a side story involving little lamplight. Which would include some of the kids reacting to her being there. I could also see her continuing to be a bit awkward, especially once reaching "in relationship" status and after the first time being "intimate". Although I could see her get upset quickly after certain interactions with other girls and after each time you "intimate" with another woman, especially if your Charisma is high enough to calm her down to not to "run away" or try to attack you. If she runs, I could see a chance for a mission to "rescue" her after she was captured by raiders, slavers, super mutants, or something else. If you chose to rescue her, she'd pull a tsundere act again, being noticeably excited that we came to rescue her, which to her means that we do "love" her but pull the "I'm still mad at you" card.

She is a great girl, you may think she is a bit edgy and overbearing compared to most women but, I'd say this is a pretty decent cope for living in Little Lamplight, a place full of dumb kids for 18 years then getting thrown into Post-apoc wastes to be eaten by mutants. I ALWAYS play Fallout 3 with NCR Armor mod and pretend like I somehow enlisyed into NCR Military, and all my companions also wear their uniform. She was just a silly side character my guy, you probably don't even encounter her unless you wander or ask around in Little Lamplight. Tbh Buttercup definitely sounds like a one-off unspoken character you could seduce in FO2, probably with the Kama Sutra Trait or something
