If you want to get rid if the blood stains, take a folder and place it next to the blood and select and deselect it in building mode, works better than abraxo ;)

With the "cage-looking" floor as the top of the elevator, and your added height with ceiling cap, that would be a great place to "seal in" Marcy Long and Jun! :) Just put them in there and leave them, "Cask of Amontillado" style!

I wonder why they didn't put in vault tec elevators

I'm hoping for a a tour of you final vault soon. You seem to have some pretty nice ideas for this kind of building. I haven't played F4 in a while yet your videos always make me want to create in the Wasteland and try news ideas for settlements.

I wish they had added vault elevators

Idea- have the elevator lead down into the caves, like use it so your settlers go down it and poof they're in that corridor looking at the vault door. Just a suggestion

Not related to the video BUT I LOVE YOU MAN. YOU'RE FRICKING AWESOME.

Leaving the doorways out is pretty much essential -- you CAN snap them on, but if you do they will block the elevator call button. Also, be aware you should be able to snap an atrium floor piece to the bottom of the elevator, giving the shaft a somewhat neater appearance. :)

please do a long descriptive tour of your vault as well as a video on how you built your vault (could be in the same video as the tour) it wold really help me as i agree with your whole theme and i'm taking a lot of inspiration for my builds from you.

+norespawns if you try to place doors directly on the elevators, the doors clip through the elevator call buttons making them impossible to summon.

hey Mr. Davey, there are corner caps for the vault walls that can be used to make an enclosed shaft if you like

i was able to sink the elevator into a floor piece so that there wasnt wire mesh exposing the underneath, build a floor peice on the second floor to clip the elevator to, and the bottom level should sink into to already placed vault floor, takes a bit of fiddling cos it will keep wanting to clip the bottom level of elevator to your floating floor instead of sinking/merging(whateva its called?) into the ground peice, this works with other floors too

There's an easier and optional way, I put my elevator to the side of my atrium itself and built the walkways next to the elevator. Then proceded to put backwards facing atrium walls round it, to the inhabitants it just looks like a wall from the other side. One minor issue is with there being no elevator door, the switch is so far to the right you can't put a door column there without hiding away the switch. minor problem. Power comes from the vault, have some conduits connect to it and your good to go. FYI you can use the "Barn" or Institute pieces to cap the top off, so you have a nice sealed vault.

I learned real quick to use jet pack power armor while building. makes it easier to jump around the building and no fall damage. I ended up ripping out my vault elevator after it kept having the floating buttons glitch.

what i did was on the bottom floor with the power part i put a window over it and attach power that way.

Even better add an end cap to the core door, and it will snap, and then you can add a door making it look like a "real elevator" or as close to one as possible

Davey do you ever run into performance issues from using the weapons storing glitch to increase your build space? I'm on ps4 as well and I upped my building cap a few times to finish constructing my vault (it's the first settlement I've really built all the way up) and it feels like I've been having some even worse stuttering and fps drops than usual. I expected to see some drops in the settlement itself because of the high polygon count it has to render but I wasn't sure if it would affect the rest of the game. I was just playing through the mechanists lair and the game really seemed to be struggling to keep up but then again I'm hypersensitive to these things and keep an eye out for them while I'm playing so it may just be the typical performance issues on ps4...the hitches have just seemed a little more frequent since I finished constructing my vault. Keep up the awesome videos I just recently discovered your channel and you've become one of my fave subs!

theres a mod by the maker of soe that ads a institute and vault tec elevator or you could get uso and use a door the they have that i belive thats in slideing and its called vault elevator door or you can have the regular elevator doors

There is a mod for vault elevators but they can glitch.

I don't like that my vault looks so clean, and the elevator is old looking. In your vault it looks fine, cause your settlers just found it and added wasteland stuff in it.

It really bothers me that Bethesda was lazy with designing this DLC. Don't get me wrong, I still love the game, but there's stuff about this DLC that just bothers me even though I try not to let it. There's the obvious things like things in this DLC don't snap correctly, but I've noticed, that there really is no way to build you vault so it's straight. If you really look, the building space makes your vault croaked, and bothers me more than I would like it to b/c I have OCD.
