Hey fam! Just summarising some really important info pointed out in the comments. Thank you SO much to everyone for this: - The Archer Tadpole challenge is definitely one of the easier ones to do, especially since there is a crossbow and crafting plans available at the Pioneer Scout Camp (on the bench at the archery test location). So head there if you're having issues with the challenges I completed! - The "acquire a mothman wing" challenge MUST be off the hostile mothman, NOT the one at the Path to Enlightenment event. This makes harder to do - so if you don't yet have a mothman wing, it might be better to try out the other challenges. - You can take photos of dead enemies for all the photography challenges, so don't stress about them being alive while taking the photos. BUT it still means you need to get close enough to those enemies or kill them to take the photos (unless they're dead already), so I'd still avoid the challenges with very hard enemies if you are lower level. - You don't need plans for the frog habitat. You just need the frog jar from the science projects at the chemistry station and a captured frog. - You all should already have all the plans for leather armour (I forgot about this) so get to crafting :) - Gun bashing with the said weapon also counts as a "kill", but if you're a lower level character, don't go rushing in with gun bashing! Take it slow, drain your enemies health with your primary weapon/build, then finish them off with the weapon you need to get the challenge by using regular bullets or gun bashing :) I will continue to add to this list as needed :D. For taking pictures of the animals and creatures the animals and creatures do not have to be alive you can take pictures of dead animals and I will still count. I got most of my pictures taken care of in that cave towards the end of the brotherhood of steel quest line where are you fight the scorch beast

Yes, photos of dead creatures counts, but you can get some great pictures if they're alive....and attacking. I got some great pictures of things as they were attacking. A Yao Gui in full swing, a bloodbug fully extended just before it latched onto my face, and one of a friend fighting a deathclaw with a sword. This may be the most tedious quests in the game, but trust me, take the right pictures and you will smile when you see them on your loadscreen and despite everything, remember it fondly.

Great video. There is a method of farming in Cryptids that will help you get a Mothman wing. Start the queen of the hunt event but do not complete it. Travel to the different sites they send you and tell you find the Cryptid and the event text switches to get DNA or something like that. As long as you do not take the DNA from the creature you can switch to a new server and you'll have three new locations to search. Doing this a few times you can usually get the Cryptid you are looking for quickly, including the Mothman. If you have friends that are playing all of you can be in different servers multiplying your chance of finding a hostile Mothman quite a bit. This is the method we use, then everybody joins the person with a Mothman and make sure everybody tags it before it's killed.

I actually found that the Tadpole quests were a much bigger pain in the neck than many of the Possum quests. I'm amused by the fact that Tadpole scouts were apparently expected to be able to launch nuclear weapons...

I'm Level 150. Been playing (on and off) since launch. I've fought and killed just about everything in the game. I have a mutated Stealth Junkie build with explosive weapons. All that, and yet, this long ass Tadpole quest scares the hell out of me. Not that I don't think I can do it... but it's just so much frickin work.

The most tedious part is getting the first 3 tadpole badges. The rest is just farming and things that you'll probably do during your playthrough.

It sounds long but at your level you can breeze through them fairly easily, I did the badges when I was around LVL 100 (now at +250). If you're a solo player like myself I suggest these three badges: Archer, Athletics, and Hunter. The Archer badge killing 50 enemies is super easy, anything you encounter on the walk down from Vault 76 to Flatwoods counts as an enemy and there should be enough targets to fill that requirement. I suggest crafting a lower level crossbow, because you'll have to repair it three times for the badge. Warning about the Possum Badges (I was going for the Armored Plate Mod, which add 90 damage resistance), Archeologist has a tendency to glitch, I've completed all requirements but the take a photo of a fossil will not register for me and I've talked to others that have the same problem. @No One lol ain't that the truth. It really is a "just pick one you think you can do and do one step at a time until it's done" thing. It can be a little overwhelming in the early game when you don't know where to go half the time. That's probably why they added the small backpack at the airport.

and then fast travel to vault 76 and kill the low level mobs around there. Very quick and easy. With the ammo smith perk crafting the ammo is not too much of a bother. The worst thing in doing this badge for me was using the crossbow enough to need to repair it 3 times.

I used the crossbow as a melee weapon till I killed 50 enemies with it. It broke faster as well so repairing it wasn’t such a drag.

You're absolutely right. My first couple of days on the game, I met a couple of players who were lvl 300+ and 500+. Right away, they hooked me up with a 3 star Fixer & Longshot, Excavator and Quantum X-01 PA suits, BOS deep pocket armor, along with a bunch of other legendary weapons, outfits, plans for days, and a few thousand caps and rounds. They both dropped me the brahmin backpack plans, the second guy not realizing that I already had the plans for it (which I didn't even at the time, so he bought it back from me for 10000 caps! Such a great community on this game. This is my first online game, so it was really cool to find so many nice people. However, I did encounter my first griefer the other night. Invited me into his locked camp, and when I didn't buy anything, he locked the door and wouldn't let me leave, then taunted me the whole time while I tried to figure a way out. But all in all, a really great community in the 76 world.

Crossbow one is easy, just switch to the crossbow for you final shot or use it on weak enemies. Minimal ammo needed. Also there's a crossbow and ammo at the archery range where you need to do the test. Swimmer is hard for me since I don't play with any friends.

Just a heads up - unless it’s been changed; you can take a photo of a dead enemy (even if it was already dead; like a hanging radstag) and it will still trigger and count as a photo. I did most of herpetologist before getting fed up. Mammalogist, athlete and archery were mine. Crossbow kills I just went to Morgantown airport for the event - ez! Great video tho, super helpful breakdown and I now feel like I can be bothered to do it all again on my alt! Cheers brother keep Em coming!

I did this a couple months ago. Took a few days but was sooo worth it. What I realized later on is you can build a higher level backpack at the workbench and have an even higher carry weight.

Just a FYI there is a fixed spawn for a chef's hat at: Black bear lodge in the kitchen on the east side of the building (under the counter) Valley galeria inside the diner that is on the parking lot... when walking into the parking lot from the fast travel location the diner will be on your left... inside the kitchen will be 2 mannequins... 1 male with a newsboy hat and a female with a chef's hat... There are plenty more but these are commonly left in the world :p

For Archer: As long as the final kill shot is with a crossbow it counts. I use my handmade to bring them down to near zero, then kill with the crossbow.

For the "Kill X with weapon Y" Challenges, only the killing blow matters. So, if you don't want to craft too much ammo, just do most of your damage with your main weapon, then finish the enemy off with the challenge's weapon. This is especially useful for the syringer challenges, as that thing does -so little- damage...

Great video. You can also put a 200mm lance on your perosnap deluxe camera. You can take a picture from far away, in sneak mod and leaving the scene without wasting a single ammo.

Thank you so much for this! This guide is so helpful. I am a level 62 but I have not completed the Tadpole quest or Possum badges yet, but I REALLY want the backpacks! All I have left to do is revive a teammate for the Tadpole, but I think I’ll take your advice and ask for some online friends for help. Then I can start with the Possum badges. for the kill the enmey part you can bash them and it counts as a kill. also as long as you hit the enmey once with the right weapon you can kill it with any thing. using bash with xbow damages it more so fixing it is easier, remember it take off the perk card that makes it so you craft weapons at 200% durablity

This scout quest is very annoying. I got the small backpack and just forget about the bigger one because it's too tedious until I got to level 150 then I realised I needed a bigger capacity so I went to finish off the quest lol. It's much easier to do when you are higher level.

By "enemies" the game counts anything with a red name and health bar. So I believe frogs, opossums, rabbits, chickens and squirrels seem to go towards the count as well.

Been playing since the beta and never came across a stimpak defibrillator so yeah good luck to anyone trying to do that one it would be nice if you could plant more of the plants you come across and if you can always have a supply of corn, tatoes and nut berries as you can make starch out of them which can be turned into adhesive which I found useful when I started first playing

Additional hints for athlete. if you are level 25 you can reroll your special traits to put agility up without having to spend perk cards.

Almost forgot, if you need a crossbow and the one at the scout camp is missing or the plan can't be found there is also one on a table at the place where guided meditation event goes down, the Palace of the winding path. If you fast travel there and head West to the Cliff's Edge you will see the table sitting there South Southwest of the main building complex. There's also some crossbow bolts there. Important to note with the crossbows, do not over repair them or you're going to have to wait a long time to be able to repair them again. Do a standard repair.

There are plans to get better Pro Snap lenses so you can take pics of the dangerous animals from a distance. You can also take pics of them when they are dead. Just make sure the name of animal appears in the top right corner before you take the picture.

Fun little fact actually you don't need to craft a lot of bolts to kill enemies just as long as the last shot is a bolt it will count as killed by a bolt. I used the same technique for killing a Yao guai with a syringer because I found killing with both very repetitive.

For those finding this now, like myself, you can get crossbow Plan at the archery range at the camp & an easy way to get Crossbow kills is to take a mob down to low health with any weapon then just kill it with the crossbow in 1 or 2 shots. Also crafting the bolts is easy, just craft bolts 5 times in single crafts. You get 10 bolts per craft so you get the 10/50 on one craft. Don't craft them in lump like crafting 5 at once, you will only get the count for 1 craft, so craft them 1 craft at a time.

Just an FYI at the Morgantown Airport you can get a small backpack plan so you have it til you finish these long quests. It took me about a week and half to get the standard backpack and the large Mod for extra carry weight.

No "Newb" is going to be able to complete "Codebreaker" without help, this challenge should either be a Possum level or have the Launch a Nuke requirement removed. Hell just collecting and keeping enough silo codes before they expire is a huge effort. IMO the easiest would be Archer, Athlete, Cook and a Chef's hat can almost always be found in the Portside Pub in Morgantown. Photographer and Mammalogist are also pretty easy esp. if you've done the "Bucket List" questline. Just remember any quest that has a "Kill a "Blank" with a "Blank" you can use any weapon to bring their health down, just have the required weapon hotkeyed and use it for the "Coup de grâce"! I bought large capacity ,shilded, lead lining for 20.000- 30.000 caps at vendors ,it's waaaaaaay easier getting 30000 caps, in fact i bought those in 2 days with a single user. The order of the tadpole is mandatory tho , no sense settling for the small backpack. High capacity and chemist are the best mods .

Im new to fallout 76 and this was especially helpful. Ive been looking for a channel with more 76 guides. Ive subbed and im looking forward to more content. Being new I'd like to see less beginner guide stuff and more advanced in game guides. For instance, the reputation with different factions and how many there are as well as what those quests reward you with. Thanks for the video bud

Forgot the 3rd thing you can do the archey course with the cross bow what you talk to the robot to start the quest line also there is one other I remembered with grabbing new targets this one is very low so total 4x things you can do outside of the challenges no videos on this I've found but I found this a few days ago

I finally finshed the tad pole challenges nd dam that shit was to much good thing i met some people on there that helped me out and i was able to finsh em pretty quick. For archer if u get alot of gouls or whatever youre fighting u could huddle them together and throw a granade to kill them and as long as u got the crossbow in you're hand itll count as crosbow kill. I did archer, medic and athletic felt like those where the easy ones to do.

To complete the Level three terminals people could just solve the terminal at the Poseidon power plant and server hop until they complete it that’s the easiest way for level three terminals.

on the cook tadpole quest you just have to wear the chefs hat and cook anything wearing it ten times. the recipe books for the others are harder to get.

As far as I know, you don't get a mothman wing from the Enlightenment event. It's a drop from hostile mothmen. The mothman in the event isn't hostile.

Just to be clear "easy" means not 50 hours. Easy is going to a vendor and buying it. 50 hours of quests that aren't fun is a LOT of work.

You dont need plans for the frog habitat. All you need is the frog jar from the science projects at the chemistry station and a captured frog. The frog habitat is in floor decor I believe while building at your CAMP. And it requires a frog jar and captured frog to build it.

There's a mothman encounter spawn during the enclave questline in one of the other bunkers. If i recall correctly, this one spawns during the quest where you grab a beacon in a experimentation section of the bunker. At the end of the maze, the mothman would spawn as a "test subject" for one of the chamber when the roque A.I overseer releases it.

for the kill a yao gai with pipe syringer you can get around having to grind mods by getting the killing blow with a projectile weapon or grenade while holding the syringer out. you can also tag the enemy swap to the syringer and have a teammate kill it

For milking the Brahman you can also get 'em in the pen right next to the Wayward and outside the tunnel of (or during) the Riding Shotgun event.

For the tadpole achievements, I did Archer, Hunter and Entomologist. I found those easier to complete. I'm 1 off codebreaker but I've never launched the nuke yet. 😂

Last comment I will leave here for this but 4 challenges where you have to kill something with a particular weapon, melee also counts. So you don't even have to crap the mo. Just walk up and melee something for the last hit. I have done this with the flamer, the fat man, crossbow and other items.

Black powder + ammo is fairly easy to find. Schematics for the rifle in the white spring And ammo lays about in the civil war cementary.

I normally carry a lot of food in my inventory, so i spent a week farming badges for the increased capacity mod... then i discovered the grocer´s mod just for mere buillions. That meant no more lvl3 True Hicker perk, and thus 3 free perks points for my build.

Yea atleast on xbox where i play on. I found someone at level 140+ helping me out with lots of ammo, materials, armor, plans and recipes. And some other guys too which we do the scorch queen and farm the blast zone.

@@dailydoseofgtaonline448 Same, I play on ps4. Seems a lot of the bigger people are trying to bring more small players into the community. Of course, some people are weird. Yesterday I grouped with a lvl 406 and a lvl 13 cuz they were in Morgantown and I was trying to save some caps. They were both in VC which is rare and the big guy was showing the little guy around so I decided to stick around with them. He is crafting gear for this guy, sharing mutations with us, and hooking us up with xp boosts. then he goes to fire up a nuke, but he dies while doing it. He is saying some high level dude (lv 386) is hovering on his corpse, so i fast travel to him to go check it out. I get to his corpse and I am like "there is only like 10 items here", and he leaves the game and server. That happens a lot in ps4 but we had already friended, so I picked up what was left of his stuff and when he entered a new server I followed him into it. I send him some msgs on ps4 but he doesn't respond, he joins my group and I say whats up, but he leaves. Eventually he sends a response of 'you robbed me i don't play like that' to which I am totally flabbergasted. Later on I see him in a nuke zone so i am following around tagging mobs and trying to help him when he gets swarmed. One of my bullets hits him, since the mobs are surrounding him, so I just stand there to see what he does, which is kill me, loot my body and tbag my corpse. (lvl 406 in power armor with TSE vs a lv 23 in a hazmat suit and a bow lol). Then I get a couple weird voice msgs from him about me and my group 'stalking him' and something about 'fuck me if i don't buy fallout first'. I told him he had some serious issues, ggs and good luck, before unfriending and blocking him. It was a weird experience.

And 2 high levels got in and i hit one thinking it was an enemy and he didnt do anything we were red the whole time even after but nothing happened. And another girl i shot to fuck with. And i didnt know there was friendly fire. And we fought but she got the 50 cal out and killed me but now we friends so yea. I did once had a female friend on ps3 she always followed me idk if she liked me or its what she does with all her friends. But i remembered her gamertag for 4 years after moving on. But i forgot it after that.
