Ive been playing for nearly 4k hours and I’ve had more fun in that time with the assault rifle and pipe weapons than any of the other “Meta” weapons.

The furious receiver has a 90 fire rate which is faster than most automatic receiver. Essentially as fast as you can pull the trigger makes for a fun play style imo. Also have been using it for completing daily challenges where you need to cripple limbs fires fast enough you can cripple them but you can build it to not damage enough to kill.

Like you said, in terms of damage numbers its no Fixer. But the pipes still have an appeal for me. The look is very fallout, the sound unique and the overall feel satisfying. And, as you demonstrated, with the right setup the pipes are still capable weapons for solo exploring. Thanks for the video!

I think the fact that i can use a pipe pistol with a rifle stock and get benefits from rifleman and gunslinger makes it all worth it

An executioners explosive crit fill is awesome to use. Crits just make things die with it. Very ammo efficient!

I have to agree though pipe guns are honestly dope as hell.

I have played since Fallout 1. Fell in love with the setting. One of my issues with the franchise is summed up with pipe guns. This should be the main style of firearms you run for a long time before finding pre-war relics in good working order AND have the means of maintaining or modify. Make it feel like all this time has passed, things are hard to find, things are hard to repair, things are hard to recreate. Express the specialized skills, equipment, and materials generally needed to build/maintain/modified these precision/specialized weapons. I think the progression from pipe/makeshift style weapons is to quick and once you can mod the bejeezus out of them, to me at least, feels less we just got nuked. "Machined" firearms should be expensive, very expensive to repair, but last a bit longer. Getting plans harder and maybe even "pristine" or "pre war" workbench. On that note, I never used pipe guns in 76 and once I could ditch them in FO4 I never went back to them. Thanks for the video.

With the loss in ammo from exchanging ammo... this is a good option to use up .38 ammo and get some use out of it.

Near the Pumpkin house I took down a 2 star Scorched Breast using nothing but my .38 auto Pipe. It's an interesting weapon. Very satisfying to use for a "Lurking in the Weeds" kind of player.

I think the swift magazine is slightly better. The reload is really quick. Same amount of bullets but it also adds a bit armor penetration. It performs almost as good as a 10mm auto pistol. And the sound is indeed great and satisfying

I found a Q50c25 in a vendor for 300 caps and have been using it at events. It's pretty fun.

bruh, I'm a newbie and got a lucky pipe gun with the instigator effect. Thing is still carrying me through to 26.

Started a Guerrilla build not too long ago and the pipe auto pistol was a huge save at early levels since the plan to make it auto was fairly easy to obtain. Its been a great weapon to use even into the late game as an extra suppressed, VATS crit, high rate-of-fire weapon! My only issue is that .38 isnt super common around the world so if im not going out of my way to farm ammo for it, i dont end up collecting as much, thus its rarer that I choose to use up the ammo. Hoping that once i get the Prime Auto reciever, it will really make a great late-game addition to my arsenal!

pipe gun is the only weapon you can put 10 points of intelligence all to improve its durability.

The pipe gun... is helpful and available to everyone at basically any point... You have options for basically any build... I have to agree with you on this... having said all that... I never really use it after level 20ish when I start speccing into rifles and later commando weapons

Pipe is life! I have quite a few including a TSE! I use them all the time especially the vamp explosive and bloody with limb damage . 10mm pistols are underrated as well I use those a lot

Pipe weapons used to be amazing. They went off both rifle and pistol perks so you could double up. For the first half of the game that is what i used. Now my pipe guns hang on my wall.

Used a Stalkers 25faster/25less for a while, and really like it, especially the sound of it. Ended up switching to a quad handmade one star, since i got tired of the constant reloads with the pipe pistol. i do miss the sound of the pipe though.

If only we had skins for it. Sadly like other things we all want to be in the game, nadah.

You can stack the rifleman and gunslinger cards together to improve single fire damage also

Wish we got more mods/appearance with the pipe weapons. Also don't have any unique exotics.

I have a lot of fun with my bloodied pipe rifle. Not my go-to, but it sees some use for sure.

My sneaky pistol packin momma has a BE pipe revolver, excellent daily driver. Love the sound with the can silencer.

I got a bloodied and Executioners and for non events its fun to run around with and always end up with a lot of ammo for um

My bloodied commando uses a Q/25/25 pipe rifle and it works a treat. Do I do more DPS on my AA/25/25 handmade? Yes, but the pipe gun is so much fun!

I got a TS E pipe pistol which does 100 damage + tweaked receiver (+50 crud dmg) and with 40% armor pen from mag and good perks it does 364 damage per shot with a 75 fire rate. It’s pretty good not the best but good

That roll you’ve got is a VATS enhanced god roll. I would definitely use it. Pipe guns are fun & they sound really cool. If you’re good with stealth they’re awesome but for overall simplicity of life for new players, nothing beats a gatling gun.

I have a be pipe pistol that I really like a lot and is quite effective.

i got one for a quest item, and it wont leave, i cant drop it or sell it or scrap it, it was part of some micillanious quest

QE auto pipe rifle is my go for exploring. It's a ton of fun. Goes away for bosses but is awesome to tagging enemies and all those limb crippling tasks

Pipe weapons lose 75% of their damage outside of range. Silencer's reduce range. Stealth builds don't work against any sort of boss content unless you plan on soloing them. The weapons are highly customizable and cheap which really only makes them a good starter weapon.

I have the NW pipe and 10mm for my low levels with tremendous range and making them legendary is great.

I do disagree. sure it's accessable from the start. But so is the 10mm pistol and by the time you need an upgrade you will have found other guns that outperform the pipe gun at any point in progression. Its accessibility and versatility has no utility as far as I can see. I went straight for the 10mm and hunting rifle when i started playing. Maybe they're good if you want to go automatic early? I didn't even consider that early game due to not wanting to run out of ammo all the time. Its awkwardly positioned to the point where it feels its only purpose is to make sure enemies don't give you too much useful loot, while still making it feel like you're progressing by looting the weapons and scrapping them for upgrades.

Pipe is life needing an op weapon to 1 shot everything is boring and a skill issue. Looking good is better

I don't want to be a downer, but pretty much any weapon can kill things when you're a level 500+ character. I've watched videos of players pretty much one shotting bosses with crap weapons cos they are level 900+. They roam the landscape one shotting everything in sight with no problems at all - but doesn't that get a bit dull after a while? Where's the challenge? I'm mid 300s and I'm finding it easier and easier to slaughter the enemies without changing anything.....
