This thing melts robots and big amphibians like Gulpers and Snallygasters big time, pretty good against mutants as well. It's a perfect backup weapon for those odd type enemies that can otherwise be tough with ballistic pews (I usually run light armor and a Fixer with emphasis on VATS.) In fact two of my three weapon loadout is now from this season - V-63 BERTHA, Anchorage Ace, and Fixer.

I switched from Railway to this, have to use Slug Buster as my secondary to shoot far away stuff during events, but I just flip back to Bertha to tag the universe when the bogeys are in range

The Quad Tesla wins for me in every situation. In VATS, already every enemy is one-shot. For events, I need more magazine capacity and not more damage.

Damn that one is awesome! Definitely a Cremator replacement for close range crowd control, I'm so tired of setting myself on fire.

its definitvly replacing my old Tesla (quad, cirt, Perception) the only gripe i have is that contectual ammo drops for Fusion Cells are so low, if not i would use tesla as a Daily Driver

turtle did you notice the red/green terror paints are unlocked for every lmg? you dont even need to have gotten the red terror first, you just have the paints by default

This was absolutely my favorite suprise of the new season. Only downside is that it tends to use up ammo over time rather than stay even or even print ammo like the Cremator, Plasma Caster, etc. And expedition farming doesn't print nearly as much ammo per run as for other guns. Any one have any best tips for staying well-stocked on ammo for this, other than just grinding expedition runs?

bertha was the new weapon I was looking forward to the most, followed closely by anchorage ace. but ive been stuck on a crap quad roll tesla forever so this saved me from ever having to roll another tesla xD

The base automatic magazine needs to be 30, 15 is from fallout 4 and doesnt make sense in 76

I really do enjoy this gun for one of the reasons you mentioned. It is great at tagging enemies. And when you play Auto Melee like I do, and everyone is using Cremator. Yeah I gotta tag enemies. My only gripe and I noticed it just before swapping it out for Anchorage Ace, this weapon does break often. But I am certainly specing into it Commando will reduce that effect. Still great weapon and look forward to your reviews of the new melee weapons :)

My most prized posession ingame is a Q/FFR/reload speed Tesla that I use as my main weapon on a full health power armor BoS paladin build. Guess I have to check this one out on principle!

Another holy fire situation

I do not think that this outright replaces a Q/FFR. Two shot should be adding 25% more damage but then splitting that total damage between the two projectiles/arcs which means each one is doing 37.5% less damage but add up to a higher damage number. You should get better armor penetration on a normal Quad. Since it is a Tesla then both projectiles should pretty much always hit with the Bertha so at least the accuracy loss on the two shot effect isn’t really a problem but I think this weapon is pretty much on par or just slightly worse than a normal Q/FFR Tesla. Basically on the same level. It’s a give and take situation. Anyone saying that this makes normal Tesla’s irrelevant is wrong, just like anyone saying that normal flamers are irrelevant are wrong. Normal flamers still slay. The Holy Fire only has slightly better damage and worse durability. The showcase here isn’t entirely fair putting the Bertha up against essentially a 1 star Tesla, the DPS on the Bertha is going to be higher purely from FFR. It is somewhat useful to see though if you can keep that in mind. Definitely reduces the value of Quads because this is much easier to get but doesn’t make them irrelevant at all.

I just found this beauty at whitespring mall robot vendor. Somebody just sold it for few caps. I saw ppl selling this on discord for 15k. Also the drop rates for new weapons is abyssmal. I did those new events for several days and didnt get single new weapon.

Definitely more ammo efficient. I noticed that I was breaking even on fusion cells with bertha and ending up with less than I started with a quad. You have to employ a different tactic though timed Bursts is the way to go

I dont find ammo to be an issuse cause if you do a couple expoditions along with trading your ammo in that ammo converter machine (pain), you should have more than enough.

Noticed something this update. They seem to have nerfed Plasma Caster damage. My Bloodied Plasma Caster used to 1 shot even Lvl 100 Super Mutants with a headshot before the update, but now it requires stacked Adrenaline to do so. It takes 2 headshots to kill even Lvl 100 Mutant Hounds now, without Adrenaline stacked 😕.

Lets be honest with what this is , it is a tag weapon and i guess you can kill weak enemies also with that fast, like the ghouls. I can do all this with my Q/25/15R and do not need to reload that often, which is much better. Your quad did not seem to have the FFR. Do a legit dam test against earl, those are the real tests and i am 100% sure the quad will win

I thought dangerous pastime was like moonshine jambo or heart of the swamp able to spawn on any time any day just with buffed chance to roll around on launch week. No this is like meat week where you only get a week or 2 of the event then its gone back into rotation bank for later. I wish I knew this and I would have made more time for it on launch week.

I use a quad myself. And its pretty much just for radiation rumble. But i will be looking to pick this up on my alt who just has a two shot atm.

I had a natural drop 3 star Tesla with quad, weapon speed, and reload, just like the Bertha. Its about the same as the Bertha, just less reloading.

Looks good, haven’t gotten one to drop yet. Do you think you’d be able to craft up a hybrid Cremator 2.0/Lazy Heavy gunner build? I’ve taken the C2.0 and modified it for PA.. but don’t think it’s as optimized as it could be. I can tank all 3 of the new bosses at the same time though.

I will keep all my 2shot teslas since they have reduced weight as back up when BERTHA breaks

Hi, what is the outfit you have on?

Bit of a tangent question but what exact armour, buffs and perk cards do you use for the bloodied build. I have tried this with a full set of unyielding armour plus nerd rage, born survivor etc all maxed out but got sick of dying so reverted back to full health. I was doing daily ops though.

I have a QFFR tesla and it is awesome against all enemies. I dropped the Bettha 3 days ago and i must confess that it is excellent too. Would i choose one agsinst the other? It's a toughy. Guess I'll just keep them both 😊

I have a BFFRReload Tesla Rifle and the reason I use this is because it holds 30 than 15. I’m trying to roll a Quad eventually.

I was hoping this would replace my Q/25/15r Tesla for Rad Rumble tagging but Berthas inaccuracy at range cost me significant XP. Good for close to medium range, just not the performance I was hoping for. It's a miss for me

I still prefer my Quad Tesla Rifle, because of the major recoil increase that Bertha has over the normal Tesla. It feels awkward to use after having used my Quad for a few years now.
