I never realized that he could die in the vault before the show down. I talked my way into Johnny lived scenario. I assumed he was un-killable like the others until the end.

I kept Johnny alive only because he reminded me of Deacon from Fallout 4 with his disguise

In my first run I let johnny live but when I realised he could die I restarted my game then killed him for wanting a 25% cut

i was gonna let him live, then i remember that he wanted half the treasure. no way for that dude

You get the same exact outcome if you choose to side with the settlers. Because he’s still alive and you didn’t side with the raiders you can go to him afterwards and he’ll give you gifts like water, stimpacks, mentats, etc.

I played this raid over 6 times with my group and every time we got the bug that makes Gail sit in the tube forever and we all just gave up on trying to save jonny

Does anyone else love how Gail just says “Nuh-Uh!” With the combined sass of both a woman and a super mutant? I find it amazingly charming

Not gonna lie, he definitely died for me on my first run but I felt so bad that I restarted the whole heist just so he could survive. Lol

Yeah ngl i killed him, thought it was a dick move to use me as a slave just to kill someone, then my game glitches and he was the main reason it glitched, he just didnt want to move to the next room, also wanted a bigger cut of the gold yeah im glad i killed him if he gave a special revolver or something maybe i wouldve had a better incentive to not kill him

I never killed Johnny. He once in awhile gives you a couple food items

I used to see videos like this on fallout 4 from other people but no one for fallout 76! These videos are great!

I accidentally killed Johnny, I knew he could live when my game glitched and I was stuck on a part of the heist with him alive, after I reloaded the game I chose to go a different route not knowing he’d die, but I just rolled with it

on my first run i got through it with out killing him, but i use the 8+ charisma to say i have better jobs. Also i kept all the gold and that provides additional dialog from Johnny. I didnt even know Johnny could die at the beginning

I actually got him to survive. Didn’t have enough charisma. Had to drink some alcohol

I was thinking a cool idea for a solo play through (other than muling over the script) would be where you start a character at the purveyor (via fast travel from vault) and get a ranged 3* legendary, and thats what you us to level 10, then get another at lvl 20 and thats what you have to use to 30 etc... so you might start with a pipe pistol but then get a heavy weapon. Not sure if it would be considered a challenge or to showcase what perks to grab if you want to level with a variety of possible found weapons

Did the raid for foundation, made it out with 1000 gold bullion.

My game crashed 3 times in this quest, I was trying to keep everyone alive because I don’t like seeing people die but I eventually gave up and let him die :(

I haven't sided with the raiders yet. Someones probably pointed out this at some point somewhere but he mentions a heist in New York. Its interesting because even though he could be talking about pre war but if it was post war, all theories I've seen about post war New York is that its been nuked off the map. Could be hinting at future content. That'd be awesome

Ngl stims are great but that's all?!?! I thought we would get a special gun,paint,tattoo,outfit (maybe even his suit) (that was a suggestion) ect something worth the time a rare item to keep or put on your character

Great video only one thing if I could suggest something. Can you read the response you choose in future videos. For those watching on our phones reading the dialog is a little hard so if you could just read the response you choose it would be very helpful thanks

There’s a glitch on the mission guys where once u get the gold go back to you’re base store all gold come back when going up elevator close out game reload it’s gonna make it so you’re check point reloaded but the gold is still in u storage u can get as much gold as u want

I killed Johnny at the end when he wanted all the cut I didnt even know he could die earlier than that

That only works if you don't mess up the arena with Johnny, otherwise he won't trust your opinion on letting Gail try and he dies anyways.

I REALLY hate YT sometimes. I'm still working on this storyline and just got to knowing Johnny exists and now I'm recommended this video. 😢

Also, if you fail the "Ol Weston shuffle" quest, Johnny won't trust you and just die regardless. I messed up the last round of the arena and couldn't kill the Grafton monster in time, wished it didn't lock me out like that, this part really annoyed me that Johnny's death was hard locked thanks to that.

I killed Johnny for backstabbing me and I always will.

Another thing to investigate: "Is it possible to get loot from Digger in Vault 79 if he is legendary?"

Oh, if you screwed up his previous arena mission you cannot save him regardless of your dialog choices. I found that out the hard way when the game refused to let me heal during the fight and i went down. :(

Actually you can replay the sequence over and over if you just quit the game not logging off but get ready for some bugs

I started a new character and in doing so, get to do the mission again. The first time I did it, I went with the raiders, but...Johnny got killed, but I did get Slug Buster so wasn't all bad.... Now after watching this, I know what to do to keep him alive, but I was thinking of going with the settlers this time....maybe Can you do a video or something about going in with Foundation? That way I will know if its worth it to side with them instead of the raiders.

Sorry I didn't use the Raiders to do the Gold Heist... I didn't care much for them or Foundation.....I went with the Foundation like it or not.... Because I more Brotherhood of Steel than Raider. Plus I can't stand thieves like the Raiders.

Can't blame him, I tricked him into killing himself at the Locked room because I thought I would get his cut, didn't happen but It's good to know he had the same idea, makes me feel less like a toad.

I killed him because he glitched out at the start and end of the quest wasting 10 minutes of my time couldn't progress with dialogue and at the end he just disappeared. Explosive shotgun many times in the face felt so good.

as someone that refuses to use a ranged weapon like a pu55y i couldn't kill any of those ceiling turrets. probably used 20 stimpacks talking at that damn intercom.

Why would any Raider character want to save him, he's a traitor. Johnny is no better than Lev, Fisher, Serge or Barb(who all died).

I made him be believe I was gonna help him with the charisma options, than the last one I chose the "Heh sucker" option and pounded his face in with a super sledge

He died in my hiest because I sucked so badly during his part before the hiest. Does he still say you're not his type if you're a girl? I know if you try and flirt with him as a guy he does post hiest.

He tried to stab a guy clad in full spike/scrap covered t45 power armor with a minigun in the back.... With nothing but a revolver. Takes either really big balls, or a lot of stupidity. I'm thinking it was the latter.

That part glitches everything only way I continued was leaving out the elevator to reload

My first time I let him die and it ended up bugged. I had to start over. I tried it again and it bugged in the same place (I couldn't get any dialogue to come up for Gail after he was killed by the turrets) so the third time I talked him down so he wouldn't be killed and I was able to finish.

8:18 When I did the arena I back talked him about the diarrhea crap and forced him to give me a new name, so he brings up the fact that he was pissed about that. It’s cool to know it’s a different statement if you didn’t do that to him lol. That’s the reason I just decided to end him; maybe if he said something nice about that arena crap, but nope he was an ass about that too, so I felt he deserved it.

The Vault 79 quest is glitching right now i get inside the vault but the Johnny, Ra-ra and Gail are stuck outside the room

May I suggest investing in better quality audio? Sounds like your just recording your tv with all background noise included.

Johnny's gifts are reoccuring, got some stims and ammo the two times I visited him. Might be a daily thing

Wow. The in game audio is heard to hear on my TV but I can hear it just fine on my tablet.

I thought that if you kept egging him on to mess with it it would kill Ra-Ra and Gail so I did it where he didn't die until he tried to kill me at the end.
