This is more Fallout than Fallout 4. Trust me, play the game and the similarities are obvious. Sure, we all miss the NPC's with dialogue options but there are still quest givers that speak to you in the form of robots and computers. It's practically identical to every other Fallout game and is actually bigger in terms of size and space to explore. Literally the only difference is that there are no dialogue options.

@@raymondv.m4230 Not at all,many games have dialogue options. Sure, it's one of the most fundamental mechanics in Fallout but it isn't what I played Fallout for. I play Fallout for the exploration and discovering stories, finding the best loot and also for the combat. It really is a good game, better than Fallout 4 I'd say.

Emerl18 it’s just an accent it’s well known, lots of accents can be considered to replace letters or create new words entirely, another English language example is that some people in the American South say “fiddna” and they mean “fitting to” which in context means “I am about to....” I think Rob reacted that way because accents and making fun of them or looking down on certain accents was a huge part of classism, which was very prevalent and awful in England for a long time. I would say look into accents more if you’re genuinely interested and you will find this letter replacement as you called it is actually quite common. Also as someone with a decent amount of English friends, for future reference a comment like that to them can be quite offensive, so I wouldn’t do it anymore. I hope this is a better explanation than you got on the stream 👍🏽

Thanks for the detailed response. I've lived in southern states all my life (Alabama, Texas, Florida) and have never heard anyone outright replacing words or terms like that, but it wouldn't surprise me if that does actually happen. Thick southern accents are actually one of my biggest pet peeves. I just can't help but fault people that KNOW the way they're pronouncing words is frankly wrong and do nothing to fix it.

Did you think what u said before writing it though? It came out pretty harsh, and sounded very ignorant. Than even said uneducated or just plain lazy..even on doctor who, the girls say fink instead of think... It's just the accent.. like how Americans have an accent Plus a lisp where they say their S's like Th's like for instance, thuffering thuckitash I taught I saw a putty tat.

I have a very blunt writing style. I've gotten in trouble for it before, but it's just the way I am. I'm highly analytical and don't get offended. Also, your Looney Tunes examples aren't good, literally nobody without an actual speech impediment ever talked like that.

Here's my straight answer for what it is worth! It is an accent difference. An issue with saying things like "oh that way of saying this word is wrong" or things like that is that that is assuming there is a 'correct/absolute/definitive' way of pronouncing words. There's not really; language is relative. Accents and different ways of pronouncing words and sounds develop/evolve in regions and those people know and understand what those people around them are saying, but it's all relative. For example, the Oxford English Dictionary has official pronunciation guides but that is essentially for 'received / the Queen's English' British accent (as far as I understand at least), and how many people actually speak like that? Not many! The PS access guys don't, not exactly. Another thing is that this whole 'TH = F' thing is that people can get pretty snobbish about it. I come from south London and this is a very common accent and people associate it with stupidity sometimes; as just one example I knew a Dr. at UCL who pronounced his TH's as F's and he was a very smart guy. Think of it this way, if you are American for example, I wouldn't imagine you'd hear the Queen pronounce the word 'bath' as 'baaath' (long 'aaahhh' sound in the middle, hard to write for people who have different accents as - to my point - we all pronounce these letter combinations differently lol) and say 'omg why has the Queen replaced the single 'a' in 'bath' with several a's and maybe some h's? No; I would guess you would just say that it's a different accent. It's the same with 'replacing TH for F'. It's just an accent. It's not really an issue in my opinion. When people speak we should critique what they mean, rather than how they sound when they say it. Also, GREAT STREAM PS ACCESS!

We can't all be poor chaps who gets our opinion off of salty ppl on metacritic and rate or review games w.o actually um... Reviewing or playing them. It's actually a great game and improved a lot over fallout 4

Raymond V.M lol, calm down. The beta sucked, the engine should have long been retired. The are milking it. My point on the Access chaps is that they are model professionals that HAVE to make videos on all games and not provide bias commentary one way or the other because afterall a lot of what they do have promotional responsibilities. For example they would never mention Red Dead II and the botched HDR. People defending Fallout 76 when it’s a deeply messed up production says more about them than it says about me. Work it out.

Anthony Therrien You played it? It’s a huge disappointment but then so was Fallout 4 and yet that was supposedly game of the year material. I guess people that want something to be great are blinded by the truths.
