The apocalypse happened in 2077, approximately 205 years later there was another incident which is what Maximus remembers and survives. So they're both right, from a certain perspective. One incident just occurred after everything blew up

I think without game knowledge the timeline is confusing right now but with the last 2 episodes you will get it. also a lot of creatures in fallout are man made experiments it's really interesting diving into the lore I'm sure you guys would love it. once the series is over of course.

The overriding thing about Fallout universe is that there is no “bad guy” just “less evil” 😄 - Rekkai had it right. Maximus had the best quote in episode 5 - “Everyone wants to save the world… They just disagree on how.”

@@kenybeansThe Shady Sands reveal was a real surprise, because people were expecting the NCR to be pretty copacetic given how they were operating in the Mojave wasteland when we last saw them. Thing is, though, there’s a small nod in New Vegas that calls Shady Sands ‘the first capital of the New California Republic’, and the timeline in Vault 4 puts the fall of Shady Sands at four years before New Vegas. Which suggests that the NCR isn’t as stable as it had been, but it WAS able to pull together a second capital after Shady Sands fell.

@@Syntell The bit with Maximus thinking Lucy was talking about the bombs HE remembers, rather than the ones two centuries ago? Yeah, I could see how that might throw some viewers off. The core of the issue, though, is that these are characters who are only just realizing that it's been SO LONG since the nuclear apocalypse that the society that arose in its aftermath has undergone ITS OWN (smaller scale) NUCLEAR APOCALYPSE.

Okay the 1st episode is the original bombing and and Maximus introduction is the 2nd bombing from SHADY SANDS so just trying to keep y'all on track because the yellow brick road has been blown away! So y'all should get into the games and start at FALLOUT 3 AND GO ON FROM THERE! So that's the timeline for the bombings!

Because of the look of everything some people seem to forget that the bombs fell in 2077 and the look of everything has just barely changed since the 1960s when fallout split from our reality. In fallout they mastered fusion (not fission yet) but not the semiconductor and microchips. So computers never got super small and everything was powered by reactors. The "fuel stations" in fallout also sell new coolant for like 140 dollars a gallon, and not gasoline or diesel.

It's not what his (Walter Goggins)wife said, its how she said it. (Do you trust me? I'm doing what's best for our family) All signs of her having the Power and him just following. She took his power away and then belittled his leadership by laughing at his goals then played the victim to get him to go along. You can tell by the way she talks about it that she's not supposed to tell him *ANYTHING* and she's really trying to get him to understand without saying it out loud. The bombs _ARE_ coming. She knows that. The family needs to be in a vault, and she's aware that they are not all the same. Money alone is not going to guarantee a good spot, so she's found a way to tip the scales more in their favour. Being on a ranch in the country _is not going to protect them_ which is why she is frustrated by the suggestion. I totally understand his confusion at her reaction, as he doesn't quite understand the full situation, but he does trust his wife to care for the family. So, my friend, tell me again how her behaviour is narcissism? Because your comment = classic signs of misogynistic stupidity, something definitely _not_ sitting right with me...
