This show outperformed beyond any expectations that I was cautiously trying to hold back from having... There are so many possibilities going forward, and even though some questions seem to have been answered, I'm pretty sure they also actually haven't been. Top tier execution on every level...they've made it very difficult for me not to have crazy high expectations for what's to come.

I love the evolution of "Okay dokey" from Lucy throughout, its a great little way to show her evolution from Vault Dweller to Wastelander. Hope it doesn't actually take until 2034 for Season 2 and that this show gets a ton of accolades for the whole crew. They did great. Easily my favorite new show of the last decade!

There is that split second where The Ghoul is actually a little scared/worried that it might have hit him, and you see the understanding of what she actually did cross his face in terms of a slight grin; he knew right then and there with that shot that Lucy was saying yes before he asked the question.

Moldaver’s actress has said some interesting things in an interview, there are definitely plans to develop her story more. Maybe flashbacks, but some suspect she will return next season for the same reason she might have survived so long. I like the idea that she had/has ties to the Institute and might even be a synth.

Seeing Mr House as an actual pre war person was crazy, and it does seem to suggest that the Mr House ending for New Vegas is gonna be considered canon - it would be odd to have him there and have Lucy’s dad show up only to be greeted by Caesar, and we know the NCR aren’t around anymore

Brotherhood of Steel: The Brotherhood despite suffering heavy losses, successfully captured the Griffith Observatory from Moldaver's raiders and have gained a foot hold in the LA County area with the Cold Fusion reactor powering the city. Maximus: Though the hard work, meticulous luck and experience he had been through, Maximus has achieved the rank of Knight within the Brotherhood and decides to remain with them in the hope to take the first step to shape the Brotherhood into the ideal image that inspired him as a child long ago. The Ghoul: Cooper Howard after 219 years had finally found a lead on the where abouts of his family by meeting Vault 33's former overseer, Henry "Hank" MacLean who before the war was Barbra's executive assistant who has fled the LA area to New Vegas for unknown reasons decides to follow him there. Lucy: With the revelations of her mother and the destruction of Shady Sands by her father and how Vault-Tec caused the apocalypse 219 years ago understood that to make a real difference in the world is by bringing down Vault- Tec and their ally's once and for all and has decided to accompany Cooper Howard in tracking down her father as the first step. Lucy no longer goes by the name MacLean as her relationship with her father died with her mother and has started to adopt her mother's maiden name as her last name. So ends the first chapter of The Child of Vault-Tec, but her story is far from over. Vegetius once said: If you want peace, prepare for war. For War... War Never Changes.

We did get Moldavers backstory though, back when The Ghoul as Cooper met her. She told us then how her & Barb (coops wife) had created cold fusion but Vault-Tec bought the laboratories and made the technology proprietary. I love that they made Coops wife almost like a super villain, as it was so unexpected.

They aren’t necessarily confirming VaultTec started the war directly themselves. She only directly confirms VaultTec is willing to start the war, and as high a position as she seems to have the daughter being out in danger at least suggests they didn’t totally plan when it starts. She may not have decision making power like that but it’s hard for me to believe that she wouldn’t have known about a decision to go through with a bomb and gotten the daughter to a safer place.

Had no expectations for this being ignorant of Fallout until you guys had it on your schedule. Really loved it and enjoyed watching your enthusiastic reactions/discussions. Will eagerly await season two.

Moldaver in the future is not a plot hole, it's cryo-sleep pods. She had enough money to buy her own we simply don't know where she bunked down or what vault. The raiders in 33 were most likely hired by Moldaver to help grab the father much like Gunners from Fallout 4, Moldaver did not care about the raiders fate as you saw she left a bunch of them behind for vault 33 people to put in a jail. She went there only for the dad for his code.

My Thoughts...Moldaver's companies invented the tech for the vaults and I assume the cryogenic chambers also. So I assume she had access to her own tech chamber to survive after they bought her out. She was also linked to the Enclave as Wilzig knew Moldaver and wanted to give her the cold fusion. He planed to leave and take the CX404 with him as a guard across the waste land, but he was found out early. Great Show and can't wait for Season 2.

I agree. Moldaver knew the right vault to buy a spot in so that she would wake up at the right time. She must have come to Shady Sands after the first game cuz she was obviously important.

Cooper is at the bar, talking to his friend who played the Indian that can talk to animals in the in-world movie, and his friend says "Vault-tec is evil" Cooper replies I think right away, or shortly after, "Barb's not evil" Cooper is literally saying that Barb IS Vault-Tec. In my opinion, this was very pogniant writing and was huge. It colors the entire throughline of Cooper choosing to actually spy on her. It's more than 'spying on your wife'. He realised his wife had another life and was essentially cheating on him with Vault-Tec, and she was it. Her only boss is the shadowy Shareholder guy. But you called it out that she was the head of that meeting for sure.

22:10 I love this!! The implications to the show, the world, and future games even, of what this Cold Fusion could do, the fights over/for it, are SO dang cool! I'm so sad about Moldaver... I wanted to see her continue her journey. But her main story was complete, She fulfilled her vision of even pre-war with getting Cold Fusion out there and finally saw power to the wasteland. But the way Maximus GOT his goal from the start, but in a way where he now doesn't want it; it's tainted. There's so many directions he could go. But I think he had enough emotional grounding from Lucy and his experiences that he can reign in that more darker streak.

I think Moldaver could have bought herself a spot in a vault or could have just purchased the cryo pod she needed to survive the war. Vault Tec will sell pretty much anything to someone with the money to buy it. And as we know from the Fallout games there are "vaults" that aren't official Vault Tec Vaults.

I've seen a lot of people confused to why moldavor kept lucys mother in that state and why she didnt just put her out of her misery.. and a part of me thinks she knew lucy would come and look for her dad. There is something going on with Dane concerning Maximus. I think Dane is using him to become a kingmaker. Dane doesn't want to be a king, they want to be the one behind the king. I still think Maximus put the blade in the boot.

I'm convinced that Moldaver was affiliated with the enclave at one point, and either made it this far through their own cryo or even cloning. She knew the enclave had the cold fusion device, and I think the plan was always "get a VT exec and get the device." The other detail I caught: other than Moldaver's laser pistol, we only see laser weapons on the enclave guards in e2, and we never see one fired. I predict that the enclave is going to be a *much* bigger player in S2, and laser weapons are being saved as their "holy shit they just melted a guy!" signature weapon.
