What's going on Initiate, Bird here and in this video we are going over one of the Vaults famous vaults of Fallout, we have Vault 101!! I mean... the first few seemed like good people. First man kept them inside due to it being unsafe. The second overseer kept morale up with the mantra about staying inside since it's home and the third overseer allowed for limited contact for science and trade. If the fourth overseer had continued the trend the vault would have become a stable system in the region.

The NCR sounds nice but their corrupt as all hell and I can’t see them lasting in a realistic scenario, wether they fall apart from within or get torn apart by over expanding and not having the military power to control all of their territory

The experiment of 101 was "What if an Overseer had absolute power backed by military might." Basically it was testing the effectiveness of military dictator's. The Overseer and all the guards had better accomodations, rations, and recreations than the main vault residents.

No Vault was truly sane I guess but Vault 101 definitely seemed like the more "civilized" of the bunch. I would sacrifice anyone in my way for that OG Overseer not gonna lie.

@@royliber3824there were “control vaults” where everything In the vault worked as advertised. These vaults existed as a control group in the experiments so that vault-tec could compare their insane expedients to the normal vaults.

That story i will never forget. Absolutely incredible writing. I have played that game every year or two since i first played it over a decade ago. Something sbout the experience. Battle to get to the white house is always epic. And then inside the behemoth super mutant you fight in the rotunda is legendary to me. And knowong the fat boy launcher is on the fallen brotherhood soldier near the door makes it abit less dramatic

It's really interesting how despite basically every single Vault running as intended regardless of the outcome, Vault 101 is the abject failure. The Experiment was to test the long term effects of what would happen if multiple generations of residents could never leave. Vault 101 didn't even last long enough to meet the starting criteria of the experiment, failing after only 2 overseers. Even Vault 15 opened for the first time *after* 101 despite extreme overcrowding.

It is not a control vault it had an experiment just one of the more humane experiments by comparison Vault Tec has done. The original and Experiment for the Vault was to stay closed indefinitely, in order to study the role of the overseer when a Vault never opened. As the short states. And your character does all of this, at just 19 years old!!!! ALSO, the reason that the Vaults produce such heroes of great Caliber, is that these heroes are birn with high SPECIAL stats, they get to train their stats up, and also because the Wastelands are such a punishing place that it results in you coming out a hero or ending up dead. Kind of no in between.

Ok sooooo roughly 175 years tell me how only 3 overseers survive that long. I do math good and I say 50 years as overseers is a good estimation. The math don’t add up. Bethesda fix ur there game or just remake 1 and 2 and remaster 3

Ok so it’s 164 not 175 but still missing 14 years unless someone living in a vault can be older the 90years as overseer I don’t see it. The first overseer has to be like at earliest 35 if that. USA president Theodore Roosevelt was 42 was the youngest add 50 years (bc we don’t know how long they was overseer) makes that to 92. Obviously I’m assuming because we don’t know the details. I’m just saying three overseers in 164 years. Looks like a lot of them was old as shit.
