it wasn't just a terminal :) how foolish this idea is. The whole casino's security system is far more complex with the one-time trap when it opens it closes shut for good and no overrides can fix this. Not even if the one'd be a tech and science genius. And Elijah got himself in a bear trap he couldn't escape despite his genius

He would've been trapped even if he didn't touch the terminal. After you go up the elevator undetected, the machine is set to stay in place. So the only way you could ever escape from that situation would be to climb up to where the elevator is, blow it up, and then escape. And that's assuming you didn't read Sinclair's personal accounts :D

The game gives you a way to get out of the vault with everything in it, without cheating, without hacking, without using fancy perks, without even using a stealth boy. 3: The fact that the real treasure of the Sierra Madre isn't even the gold -- it's the mountain of old world cash you can bring out of it if you plan carefully enough. And 4: The fact that, contrary to what you here assert, if you play your cards right, you _can_ in fact team up with Elijah, and canonically take over the Mojave with him (and, one presumes, the world). Funny. First time playing this dlc, waaaaay back on the 360, didn’t know I could steal all the gold bars with a stealth boy and good timing. Figured it was a lesson: Here’s the treasure, but you can’t take it all. It’s too damn heavy. Then, I learned about the exploit. Figured that an invisible guy, dragging a bag full of gold, guns, armor, and meds would be funny. Still, first time doing it with only one gold bar in tow felt right. Let go of my greed so I could escape. Let go of vengeance to teach an old man a lesson about greed. Felt good the first time.
@avzed17893 жыл бұрын
That's how it was suppose to be, and it's a good thing you did that before finding out about the exploit. If only that loophole was found and properly closed. This would've been one of the best storytelling moments in a game.

I beat Dead Money again on another character last night. The bug prevents me from hearing this ingame so I came here to hear it once again. This was perhaps the hardest dlc for me, because I did it out of sequence. I ended up doing Dead Money at level 50 on hardcore and accidentally at the highest difficulty because I forgot to turn it down. My perks were geared towards repair, speech and rifles/smgs/laser weapons, which obviously are rare and hardest to come by in DM (not to mention I was anti-robot built). By the time I reached the vault, I had no need for money because I already had the best gear back in the mojave, but took all the gold anyways and threw half of it off the edge since I couldn't carry it all; just to make the vault more empty. After trapping him in the vault and leaving the Sierra Madre and hearing him rant on radio, I finally felt fulfilled, knowing after all he put me through, he's now forever imprisoned in the one thing he thought held wonders, only to realise, it's now an empty memory courtesy of my actions and his hubris.

The victims of the Sierra Madre. Veronica and Christine. The nameless knights, scribes and paladins at Helios 1. All of their suffering, pain and sacrifice, a debt long over do on collection, now paid in full. When Elijah finally comes to terms with his situation, he’ll have plenty of time to think about all the pain he’s caused as he wastes away slowly.
