It gave me the possibility that you went through hours of fallout 3 without managing to ever find one somehow 😂 Best tutorial on youtube by the way. Going slow and actually playing it helped me figure it out so much quicker, and this is my first big table top game at all so thank you.

This game needs all the expansions to really shine for solo play. Recommend all of them. Especially Atomic Bonds.

Thanks for watching and the feedback on the video! I was mainly going for XP to get my level progression moving as I will have to deal with that mutant sooner or later. I may have sounded more worried then I really was as I've killed a good number of them prior to this playthrough haha. Diamond City is the goal and I have more movement points then he will get activations to catch me. I don't mind playing chicken with him to further the main quest but I know we'll meet eventually. I need more gear is my side goal. - I'm loyal to the institute so synths are on my side...for now! They do indeed have ranged. - Not sure how I didn't see that icon as a vault door. Thanks for the heads up. I'll start referring to it as that in Part #3 as I've now filmed Part #2. - I'll move the killed off monsters from the bottom of the discard piles in Part #3 as well. Good catch! - For my particular agenda card it makes a huge difference. Agenda cards always score one point of influence. However, my agenda card also allows me the option to declare loyalty to get an additional loyalty point for every step the institute is higher on the faction track than the railroad. So it's directly related to scoring points for agenda cards. If I'm not loyal, I don't get those influence points and that agenda card only counts as 1 influence. You can however declare loyalty or go rogue on your turn when it suits you (to win the game for example). But avoiding hostile faction members in the Wastelands is a wise side benefit as well. Rolling Solo Reread that Agenda card. There's nothing on the card that says you need to declare loyalty to score the Influence points. And the Loyalty section of the RR says the cards are scored normally whether they are face up or down. It's a understandable rules mistake that I've seen many people making.

Ah, I see what you're saying now. Good to know. Something they'll likely clear up in an FAQ as the RR is a bit thin on a few rule clarifications I've noticed as well. Cheers!

What about using the leftover agenda cards for your point count? Do those cards have agendas that only coincide with multi-players? Or could you use them instead of dibbing in the stack to prolong the game. Probably not ruling, but still, whatever makes the factions a little more fairer for good gaming time.

John I don't think you can use the cards that have a number higher than the number of players. I've even read comments where people say take an agenda card from the discard pile when you claim a card, not off the top of the deck. Not sure if that correct or not as I don't think it mentions it in the rules I'll have to go and check that one.

Gears of War is a vey beloved solo game. However, I shy away from covering a game that others can’t get as it is no longer in print. I also don’t have a copy myself! Great choice though! :) Hope you enjoy Fallout!

I honestly want to revisit this one down the line with the new expansions. Off the top of my head I can’t say. Hopefully I can get this one back to the table on the channel soon!

I was considering buying the game + New California and wasn't really sure if I'd like it, since I don't play board games that much and the price of 100€ for both is kinda high. Now I think I'll have to get them. BTW, will you make a playthrough of New Cali and or take a look at the new Nuclear Bonds expansion?

When exploring you place them face-up.

Non active (face down) are not valid fight targets. Moving into that space at 11:30 would be useless..

Hello Atiwich! Good question. At the moment I haven’t played in some time so I don’t know off the top of my head. BoardGameGeek is where I would go with that question! Hope to see you around here.

Attiwich - If the Synth has a ranged weapon and an aggression token, it will attack you from an adjacent space. This will then trigger a fight where you roll the dice. The range weapon on the Synth vs you melee means you take an extra hit.

Also noticed a spawn mistake at 23:45. Monsters down spawn in the space in which you killed them. They are placed in the nearest from which they died. So in this case he couldn't place since no there were no other matching locations open

I'm sure it's in the rulebook. Don't have it near me at the moment though ;p

Hello Jani! Card Results sidebar on page 8 of the Learn To Play says that you may draw agenda cards as a quest reward. When a Quest reward has the little "thumbs up in a circle" symbol is when you're allowed to draw an agenda card. Also: a player is allowed to have 4 agenda cards, not 5 (Agenda Cards section of the Rules Reference) Also also: every agenda card awards 1 influence PLUS gives you a certain set of prerequisits to gain even more (up to two extra for a total of three per card if memory serves). I know a few people have missed the "always at least one" part. Hope this helps!

@@RollingSolo Well it's specifically shown on the card that you can only reveal it at the start of your turn to declare loyalty so no need to check the rules, just check the card ;). (Around 19:23) This bothered me to an extreme level, you cheater(just joking). It's normal to miss some things while playing and explaining at the same time.

I bounce between Mayday and FFG. FFG only on a select few FFG games. Mayday on others. I don’t sleeve all games. Just ones I know will get heavy wear and use. Now with FFG sleeves going away I guess GameGenic will be my replacement. Cheers!
