The teddy bear shooting weapon is called the Junk Jet. In the game you can use any junk you pick up and load it as ammo. So a fork, a cup, light bulb, teddy bear, anything can be shot.

It feels weirdly like an indie project (in a good way) even though there's a massive budget. There's a bunch of familiar-but-not-A-list actors playing one-episode roles and doing cameos across all the episodes, like Rappaport and Michael Emerson in this one. It's clearly deliberate, just another set of Easter Eggs for people to discover.

I think Lucy casually chatting people up with her gun out, was a joke about the game, and all shooter RPGs, where you find yourself doing that a lot.

Absolutely did not expect the characters to run into each other so soon in the series when I first watched it. The pacing of this show was quite often surprising in a good way.

Im loving your reactions. Just know the fallout game fans are FED with this series bc it's so accurate to the lore and world and has soooo many references down to even the game mechanics lol I hope your loving it It stands so well without having to have played the games. To summarize fallout as a game it's open world you create your own character and you have soooooo many choices you can make yourself and shape the story of the main missions and side quests. So much cause and effect too you can be loyal to whoever be as good or bad as you or anywhere in between. And yes the show is canon to the video game. It takes place after all the others

The scene with Lucy and the water filter diaper dude was a double Easter egg. First, players notoriously fail to put their weapons away when talking to NPCs. Second, and way more obscure, diaper dude is a reference to the original 1997 Fallout game where you can encounter a diaper-wearing NPC with that same slouched posture. Two fan services in one scene. Brilliant.

The amount of detail, references and allusions in this show is nuts. Both to the games and to the events taking place within the show. Pretty much *everything* means something and is there for a reason, but they don't hold your hand and over-explain, you have to try and put the pieces together. They also love to trick viewers into making assumptions while also giving them all the hints that their assumptions are wrong. 😂 E.g - Turrets in Fallout 4 are notoriously inaccurate. Lucy saying hi with the gun out is a joke about players not holstering their weapons while talking to NPCs. Maximus getting stuck is also a reference to game bugs and getting stuck in the terrain. The Ghoul was only using explosive bullets, he has different kinds visible on his bandolier. And that's not even close to all the references, even just in this episode. Crazy number of little things having deeper meanings.

I like how even the dialogue is like the games SPOILERS BTW Like maximus, he wants to go to lucy's vault after dealing with the brotherhood, but it's not always a straightforward path so he ends up getting pulled into another plan to make the brotherhood tougher and ends up seemingly being "abandoned" by lucy. For season 2 I'm expecting he might resent her for what he thinks she did to him. Also I liked how each character is setup as if they have certain perks from the games that also influence their personality and their life experiences and also how steph harper is basically the black widow perk

LOL @ calling the scientist "Wilson" instead of Wilzig. He turns out to be as much of a talker as Wilson was, from Cast Away, so a bit of a Freudian slip.

In Fallout 4 you can build settlements, you collect scrap and can then disassemble it into individual parts in your base. For example, you can get a bit of steel from a fork, plastic from a doll, etc. or you can get a JUNKJET weapon that uses scrap as ammunition, like a doll's foot or fork. But honestly I don't like the gun, why should I throw away junk? I can't build a house out of bullets.

Enjoying your reactions to this show. You have kept the length of the episode sensibly, and not chopped and blurred too much stuff from view - and left some music in, most of which is copyright free now I think. You clearly don't know anything about the Fallout games, and that is fine, you just have to concentrate even more than those that are familiar with it. Keep it up.

denizen is not prerogative. A denizen is an inhabitant or frequenter of a particular place. enclave does not equal under world. enclave definition - a portion of territory within or surrounded by a larger territory whose inhabitants are culturally or ethnically distinct. in this case the definition does not matter "The Enclave" is the name of a faction in the Fallout universe. i will not get into the politics and morality of the different factions as people have there own opinions on this topic. why is he a bad ass? you saw how he took out the 3 with ease. then there is this episode.
