Axolotl are super common in biological studies/experiements because of how they can regrow lost limbs. I can definitely see them being test subjects for FEV or - given the human fingers - maybe someone is trying to find a way to regrow lost human limbs (or get a steady supply of mostly-human flesh).

If the plane was Philadelphia bound there may have been luggage with tags all over with Philly printed on them thus naming the crash site and settlement built around it

Okay, so, my theory is that The Ghoul was an actor from the pre-war era. The 'singing cowboy' outfit really says that to me, Combined with the fact that where that shot of them riding the horse is very near some famous film shoot locations. I suspect Philly is an old wild west set or ranch turned settlement.

Holy crap! The axolotl confused me a bit at first when watching even though I thought the design was AWESOME. But... if it's an FEV experiment, using an axolotl makes a LOT of sense from a biological and experimental perspective. I'm loving how it seems that there very well could have been a lot of thought and love put into this series from lore and science perspective. :D

I think the researcher might be ex enclave and he came from another secret enclave outpost yet to be found. Like how in the dlc in 3, apparently, the enclave was still in contact with another enclave group somewhere.

The creature skull could be a fire gecko. The skull seems familiar enough and the extra middle hole, the one between the eye hole and the nose hole, could be a hole for the fire they spit.

I think the situation with the cyclops is how Lucy is essentially introduced to the experiments that Vault tec did to vault members. She's going to find another vault (Probably asking for help finding the Mcguffin or maybe she thinks they might have it) and at first, the first people she meets seem normal and then it enters the main vault room and it's gonna be like Monster's Inc with all these crazy mutated humans with 4 arms or horse legs or fish gills and aloads of stuff. Somekind of genetic experiment being done in that vault. As for people being annoyed that they are essentially "Reusing" the visuals from the games (The gun, the Prydwyn, the plane on top of a shack) I have no problem with them. First of all, why wouldn't there be more than one airship in the BOS' arsonal, they don't just have one chopper, or one lasergun or one power armour. Why would they have one airship? To me the plane just seems like a reference for fans who notice it, it's hardly anything and we're probably only gonna see it for one episode at most. The gun seems like a dumb criticism for the show because it looks like that because of the game. I understand not liking it in the game, but their designing the weapons and armour based on the game so ofcourse it looks the same. It would make more sense for the BOS to be using laser weapons though.

The marked men connection with the ghouls character is something I hadn't thought about! Super excited for this

I love the idea that Dogmeat is an immortal being with some kind of innate 'plot detection' and he just goes and befriends important people.

The lack of any kind of mention of what is supposed to be the governing body of the area - the NCR - is a bit surprising and maybe concerning. If the NCR just don’t control the boneyard then it’s whatever but by the 2290’s I definitely would have expected them to have strengthened their hold on their own territory.

The Cyclops is not her Father specifically because it is a different actor. The Cyclops is played by Chris Parnell whos known for a number of characters he voices in cartoons and his time on SNL. His best known voice work would be as Jerry on Rick and Morty and Cyril Figgis on Archer.

This show looks a lot better than I was expecting but I really hope there is more mention of the NCR than there already has been. For a show set in California there has been very small mention of them

Regarding 'The Gun', I have to say the TV version looks WAY better than the game version. As well as looking more realistic, seeing it in the hands of someone in power armor really makes it seem like that's the role it was designed for- not so much an assault rifle, but a medium machine gun exclusively for PA troops.

I would love minor cameos from older writers and developer like Tim Cain, Josh Sawyer, Mark O Green, Chris Avellone, maybe even Ron Perlman. Or even if we see a former companion from the game like Marcus or Raul briefly to know what they have been doing would be awesome.

The real piece of new canon we need: Where are all these iguanas hiding? My hungry vault dweller needs to know!

Jonathan Nolan has writing credits for interstellar but nothing that I can find for inception. I think you’re confusing him for his older brother Christopher Nolan, who directed those projects

In the flashback the ghoul and his daughter were both wearing blue and yellow clothes with a vault tec label on the his lapel, so he may be a vault tec representative!

I think the conflict seen in the Vault 33 common area is probably the incident that makes her leave. Note her apparent injury (on her lip) when leaving the Vault, and also the scene where she's talking to her dad (the V33 Overseer) through a window. Presumably, there's some sort of outbreak of violence happening in her Vault, she either tried to intervene, or simply got caught up in the violence, and was rescued before her father sealed himself in the part of the Vault with the rest of the 'infected' residents. Lucy's mission (possibly self-determined, which is why the others might be trying to stop her) is probably to leave the Vault to find a cure for the Vaultdwellers before they all kill each other (this is possibly the 'rescue mission' she is on - to find the cure in order to rescue her dad before he falls victim to the violent Vaultdwellers)

What I want to see is if they will cover any of the Boneyard locations, most notably "The Cathedral Crater" and see what's changed in the 120 so years since the Master.

Prediction: Cooper/Ghoul was an actor before the war. Maybe even an actor for vault tec (based solely on the yellow and blue scheme). IF this show does well enough for a second season, my money is THAT'S when we'll get to visit New Vegas.

29:00 confirming canon endings is always risky territory for writers, the reason they leave these things open most of the time is to avoid writing themselves into a corner. If they allude to The Strip it will probably be shown as part of some montage, in the distance where you can't tell who controls it.

Btw radking the BOS in this teaser is confirmed to be located at a military base in wendover right in-between utah and navada so these might not be Californian brotherhood members. Thought this was important for you to know 😁. you can also tell where the location is by the background when the vertibird first takes off if you look at the background you can actually tell that they actually filmed there at the military base irl

The scientist is definitely from the enclave that is why the facility he is escaping from is so pristine and why the brotherhood is seen following the scientist or seen in the same spots trying to get information out of him and why they have such a large military presence to defeat their greatest foe

I think the assault rifle looks cool when paired with power armor. It looks like a bulky difficult to wield Gatling / rail gun hybrid so it’s logical that you’d need power armor to handle the recoil. Especially if they make it automatic. But I’ll admit I’m part of the fan base that quietly mourns the fallout 3 assault rifle / Chinese assault rifle skins

Point of order :In Fallout 1 and 2 (where you can visit The Boneyard, IIRC), there WERE minor mutations visible and described in text. A random bit of text popup you could see in FO1 was an alert that your Vault Dweller had grown an extra toe spontaneously.

When the ghoul is gunning guys down in Philly you can see severed heads decorating the place. So maybe it's a raider base

I’m kind of hoping that ‘The Ghoul’ is an NCR ranger who might have joined due to the similarities between NCR and the government he lived under and nearly died under many years ago. Maybe joining for a sense of belonging and perhaps even a new beginning 😉

One Easter egg they should have in the show is her being really enthusiastic and some traveling merchant asking her if she wants to try her luck at caravan and asks sure how do you play and the merchant looks at her funny and just shrugs I still don't know. That would be a fun y little thing especially if it's on west coast.

Seems to me that the Cyclopes would be the overseer of Vault 32 since the leaked photos showed vault 32 as a location. Presumably Vault 32 opened to the wastes sooner than 33, and was possibly incoporated into the NCR, based on the flag seem in the classroom. At least that's what I would think.

Utterly dumb how the only Ghoul looks exactly like Red Skull, instead of an actual Ghoul. Everything else seems awesome though. The white bodies are flash-burnt, think Pompeii. Lucy's dad and the Cyclops are clearly different actors, both of which are fairly well-known faces.

Boneyard is supposed to be restored, safe and civilized place akin to The Strip in New Vegas, I hope they do not plan to retcon games just because Amazon managers wanted it to be in LA because shooting close to studios will cut the cost.

That assault rifle is designed for power armor.

My main concern is the lack of anything NCR in these shots as well as seeing the West Coast Brotherhood being able to not only operate openly but also EXPAND their military power without contention. I sure hope that the NCR didnt collapse after NV. Which I am sure this is how we will get the canon ending of that game. Scary thought.

Anyone remember Vault City from FO2? Thinking the cyclops overseer is from there. As memory serves, they were careful about taking in mutants, but it has been 200 years, give or take, and radiation didn’t exactly disappear just because they used a G.E.C.K.

The tv show Rome was supposed to have multiple seasons but ended with 2 I think and the creators iirc said that money was an issue, meanwhile years later it's popular, so you're right about money keeping a good show from being great.

I love that the Ghoul is a something like a rodeo cowboy before the bombs. It fits with 50s aesthetic so well. America was in love with the west during the 50s. So it makes since that people of the 2070s would have been just as obsessed. I love pre war fallout so this made me really happy.

13:43 the red rounds we see on his bandolier look a lot like snakeshot, so its probably just for killing common pests, but all the different rounds would make sense in the post apocalypse

After that Nightkin encounter i always think of tumbleweed as Wind Brahmin lol And i also like the idea that Ghoul looks far more as Marked Man. Gives a better answer than "save actor face he main" which is... something...

I feel like a lot of the reactions from fallout fans has been quite negative but personally, I’m excited just to get more fallout. Let’s just pray they don’t mess up lore too much though.

I have a theory. The doctor is running away from a brotherhood installation, be that the sierra army depot or not, and Maximus along with his mentor and a few others were dispatched to attempt to recover him. The scene in which the dog has the hand and the Yao Guai is attacking the brotherhood soldier happen within the same general area as shown by the similar and vegetation that is distinct from the rest of the clips. The brotherhood force then moves to Philly in the scene where Maximus is stumbling around. Idk but it’s my best effort to put the scenes together in a somewhat logical manner.

I really respect the show for being honest about why their rendition of a Live Action ghoul is so different from the original imagery. I wish more productions would learn its ok to give a little nudge to the fans of the source and say "Look, we're simply asking for suspension of disbelief on this part for sake of overall production quality, here's why."

Fallout 4’s Prydwen was actually built with high tech materials scavenged from the aftermath of Fallout 3’s Adams air force base after the defeat of the Enclave at the end of Broken steel, making the Airship one-of-a-kind. It being named “Prydwen”, like King Arthur’s ship from ancient welsh literature, had also a symbolic meaning due to the fact that it’s Elder Arthur Maxon’s ship. “Caswennan” is also one of the names commonly referred to King Arthur ship, but originally was the name of the beach where the King found himself stranded after a Shipwreck… so my theory is that this new airship was actually built from the Prydwen remains during the nine years that followed its destruction by Minutemen artillery in what is basically the canon ending of Fallout 4 and is now being sent to the West coast due to it probably being a valuable asset against the NCR or whatever group has influence in the area but a huge sitting duck against minutemens.

So here's a few things i think will happen The cyclops overseer: It is indeed a different vault, though it functions normally. Lucy is, for whatever reason, infiltrating it, which is why she has her hair down. The Crisis: In the trailer, people are shown fighting. Perhaps the overseer leaves the vault in the picture and then it slowly turns into chaos since the vault no longer has a leader, and lucy doesn't feel safe anymore. Disgusted at the event, she sneaks out through the vault door. (feeling like they will end the first episode with her exiting the vault and seeing the wasteland) (might add more soon, idk)

That intro in the Hubris Comics Place had me instantly getting sidetracked on the thought of a Vault dedicated to turning its residents into the hero’s from the Unstoppables like Grognak or the Silver Shroud.

I don't agree with RadKing about the timing of when Lucy is leaving the vauilt; suggesting that she left before the fight. Look closely at Lucy's face; she has a split lip.

Something I would like to point out about the cyclops scene. Vault suits have their numbers also in the neck region and althoug you cant see his clearly you can see the shine/reflection on it and it seems to be a single number. (At least looked like a single number to me) Edit: read another comment saying that leaked photos showed numbers of vault 32 so thats probably it, I higly doubt it would be 33

Almost positive the Vault with the one eyed Vault Dweller is Vault 32. Leaked set photos from a while ago revealed that at least two Vaults will be in this show, 32 and 33. The ghoul is using a revolver in the shots, not the weapon on his back. The weapon on the ghoul's looks a bit like the 1887 shotgun, which the lever action shotgun in NV is based on. The only thing different is the hammer on the gun in the trailer is bigger than the hammer on the 1887 shotgun. Also, the various rounds on the ghouls belt look like shotgun shells or homemade rounds that could be fired from a shotgun.

For the young 'uns here who never saw A Boy and His Dog: find that movie, watch it. It inspired the whole Fallout franchise, and when you watch it, it'll be obvious to you where Fallout got its best DNA.

I’m actually kinda excited for this, I just now found out about it, and other than not being lore accurate (which is unlikely given that the Director is a fan of the series), I don’t really see many ways that they could mess this up, having an overpowered female lead doesn’t really matter as long as it’s done realistically since fallout is known for letting you create overpowered characters regardless of their sex. Them being unnaturally intelligent or strong could be explained by them putting a lot of points into their strength or intelligence. You don’t really have to worry about the main character’s backstory matching up with the games because the player character in most of the fallout games has never had a defined backstory other than a few points other than what you decide for them.

I'm optimistic for the series. I like what I see up to now, even if the power armour movement seems a little bouncy and "costume-y", but I suppose that could just be a limitation of the practical effects. Another breakdown i watched suggetsed that the Brotherhood airfield we see could be Navarro, based on the location and similar arrangement of buildings and fences. I wouldn't be surprised if they go down some odd route re the end of New Vegas where, between the battle of Hoover Dam and the present, the Legion and NCR have worn each other down to the point where the Brotherhood could crush both sides, since we haven't seen anything of either faction as yet and a good chunk of time has passed. The cyclops? Could be Vault-Tec intended mutation plans through FEV or similar; or it could be unintentional, through vault deterioration for example not receiving properly cleaned water for decades. And the assault rifle has been a maligned weapon since it was introduced, this is not new ground; but it looks appropriate in the context of being wielded in power armour, it seems like they've made the best of the bad situation.

A few thoughts: Lucy's backpack looks like the kind of shitty quality a company would hand out as gifts at a promotional event. It makes _perfect_ sense that Vault-Tec would supply these to its vaults as "survival equipment". I know a lot of people dislike the "assault rifle" of Fallout 4, but at least in the picture shown we can see it in its originally intended role: as a weapon for use with power armour. As for the cyclopean overseer, my guess would be that he is the result of advanced inbreeding in the population of that particular vault. That's really just speculation on my part, of course. I _love_ the look of the minigun turret. There are minigun turrets added to Fallout 4 by mods, but none I have seen look this good. I assume that is because of limitations to the modding tools. This turret really looks like the next step above the heavy machine gun turrets. "Why do I do this to myself?" Because you are inspired by Atom's will, of course. Your sermons are always appreciated.

I think the biggest problem people have with the airship is that the Prydwen is supposed to be unique and second if the East Coast Brotherhood was about to send the design to the West Coast for them to build one it meant in Fallout 4 the Brotherhood must survive and people don't like the show would make a cannon ending for Fallout 4

My guess is Lucy is leaving due to the fighting, the rescue is to save the vault from whatever Vault Tec is doing to them. Most likely something was introduced to the crops and then was activated making those close to the area become ultra-violent. BoS is most likely doing BoS stuff XD My thought is their looking for a specific bit of tec for their shiny new airship which means Vault Tec, which means vault 33 - if the guys a Squire this maybe his test to be considered an adult in the brotherhood. As for The Ghoul... i think he lost his little girl and has been making the world pay for it ever since XD

Im calling it... The tv series story will revolve around FEV. It is an easy and cinematic way for the show runners to wow the viewers...and it explains the cyclops overseer, the finger mouth monster and the extreme violence in vault 33. The metal briefcase probably contain a bunch of FEV samples that someone has stolen and that the Brotherhood will try to retrieve.

Vaultech jumpsuits are made almost entirely of one inch leather. And has electronic sensory equipment embedded throughout the sleeves and legs and torso. These sensory equipment is connected to the pipboy. Also, there has never been an Overseer with some mutation....so...

Don't forget about the Yesman ending for New Vegas. In that ending it indicates that he's now "more assertive" and probably on his way to conquering the entire region with securitrons. It could potentially be even worse than Caesar winning.

So much to dive into, and yet, so many other peeps have just been panning it and complaining about "Ugh, I want to like it... BUT..." and seriously... let's go in with fair expectations and first and foremost HAVE FUN experiencing it instead of setting ourselves up for disappointment before it's even aired.
