It refers to a VERY short animation titled “ Bambi Meets Godzilla “ where the screen shows a black and white pencil sketch of a small deer peacefully eating grass. Suddenly a huge reptilian foot smashes down , obliterating the deer. The foot belongs to Godzilla. Film ends.

Not 100% sure, but I believe the narrator you see in the beginning showing the past VaultTec ad is the same ghoul gunfighter in the “current” time.

Yes indeed, it's the same character: According to the Fallout wikia: "Cooper Howard was alive before the Great War and has lived for over 200 years. He made a living as an actor in Hollywood, often appearing as the lead in several films, and was the lead actor of the box office hit western The Man from Deadhorse, as well as a spokesman for advertisements of Vault-Tec Vaults such as Vault 4. He was a father and husband and was with his daughter in Los Angeles during the start of the Great War. In his post-War life, Howard became known as The Ghoul and is currently a bounty hunter in 2296. He has a code of honor, but also a ruthless streak."

Interesting, the reception so far based on the trailers have seemed rather positive from what i've seen, but of course, we need to see the final product to make that conclusion.

I’m a mod in a very large fallout group on Facebook and I have seen some negativity, but thankfully overwhelmingly people have rebutted it with positivity and logic. I’m optimistic based on what I have seen, trailers and interviews and such. I do hope people come into it with an open mind and not let the salt farmers win.

The suit of power armor can be modified for a jump pack which unfortunately burns the energy cells to pretty much nothing. Those energy cells don’t have much life in them. Running in those things is even worse as it drains the cell even faster. After that what you have is bulletproof armor that can’t move. You can emergency eject out the back but honestly it’s not worth it. You can add the shockwave to the armor which makes a satisfying pressure wave when you land from great heights

In 76 you can get a perk that will make your fusion cores drain 90% slower so power armor is much much more practical,even with jet packs.

Those fusion cores really should last for a long time but they made a decision for the game mechanics to make them really short lived.

I do suggest watching the videos by TheEpicNate315. As he made videos looking into the mysteries of the Fallout series and uses the evidence in the games, along with evidence added via the TTRGP, to get possible answers. Also, regarding the Fallout TTRPG, there's different plots which can be used anytime. One of which is the Winter of Atom, set a year before the events of Fallout 4.

Todd howard from bethesda confirmed that the tvseries is canon in the fallout universe, take place after fallout4, even talked with producer and director about some topics to NOT USE so they can use it in a future game So basicalle he said this is fallout 5 but not interactive

Interesting Todd would say this, as the ship is clearly The Prydwen and lots of people didn't like the BoS in F4 - moreover you couldn't usurp Maxson in F4 as it was cut content.

I believe the airship in the show is confirmed to be called the Caswennan, so it’s a different airship. Implying the BoS now have multiple of them at this point! o.o

That sounds... odd. Like Todd is completely ignoring New Vegas, which he might be inclined to do since Obsidian are the ones who made it and it was a lot more popular than Fallout 3. They didn't let Obsidian do a similar game after Fallout 4, instead pursuing Fallout 76. In FNV, the NCR is completely dominant on the West Coast and has knocked the Brotherhood of Steel down to a few isolated besieged chapters. Don't see how they could have the resources to build their own airship under those circumstances, especially as it seems that they and the NCR are still hostile to one another - and the NCR troops in the trailer look a lot more raggedy than the standardized uniforms and weaponry they had facing Caesar's Legion in the Mojave. If Todd and Bethesda are completely ignoring New Vegas, my interest in this series will fall a great deal.

I can say that I never played any of the Fallout games but I seen the gameplay from my step cousins playing it. So far it’s amazing that AP is featuring this video game into a series. I hope the show goes well and bring some fans to play the games to form remastered version in thr near future 😄

I know it's all opinion and preferences , but you are missing out , man . this series is a real vibe , gets chilling most of the time , but can also be comedic and wholesome , and the lore is really good . maybe give it a try (if you want to , of course)

I've played Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4, honestly think this trailer is really solid and captures the feel of the games really well, atleast the Bethesda era ones. So i'm definitely going to be giving the show a show.

It’s canon as well so makes sense to check out for fans, Jonathan Nolan is also super talented and he himself is a big fallout fan so this should be good for us fallout fans. Think this is supposed to take place like a decade after fallout 4

If y'all are wanting to watch more fallout stuff, y'all should watch Spaceman Scott's lore series on Fallout New Vegas: Dust. Very storyteller inspired and it's a great watch if you want to see a twisted what-if scenario for New Vegas.

I'm looking forward to the series. I was very skeptical at first because of the rings of powers, but the trailer looks like the fallout series with all its facets. I hope Amazon didn't mess around with the music licenses and provides a lot of music from the games we love so much. And I hope to see some familiar faces from the games. uhh... Nick Valentine from Fallout 4... that would be a dream Q_Q

I think it was a good choice to not show too much of how dark the Fallout universe can get as to not scare off potential viewers who haven't gotten into the franchise before. LOL Lure them in and Then scare the crap outta them! 😆 I was pretty stoked to see that they bumped up the release date.. it's now on my birthday! 🥳

I think the look is alright, but perhaps it needs to sound a bit heavier. When you hear power armor in the games, it sounds really heavy when you walk.

I hope this show doesn't end up like Halo Tv Series. Fanbase have hopes when their favourite games are finally getting a tv show but these hopes die when the tv show turns nothing like the game. Books are not are always like their cover but lets see how it goes with this one and after the outrage from Halo Tv series, the first episode of Fallout tv series will decide the fanbase and expectations.

Great reaction, as always! So hyped for this new show 🥰 And sorry to say something unrelated, buuut... I noticed you didn't had the chance to react to the last dlc of Starcraft 2, Covert ops, which was the 'season finale' of the whole saga after Legacy of the Void, which is understandable, no one really expected a forth dlc after that. But it is a really interesting piece of the story, with returning characters such as Nova and Alarak, and it also has a couple of decently edited cinematic compilations on KZfaq. So, if you're still interested on Starcraft, I would highly recommend it! It's honestly a golden brooch on top of a already amazing game saga.

Hi, fallout fan, as you can probably tell by the pfp. Power armor is my obsession, it is TANK armor, TANK. Sturdy, large, obviously powerful, and honestly simple in design when you think about it. The show would have my full approval were it not for the gross misrepresentation of it, it is not an ironman suit, the face does not open, there are no hand thrusters, and the BOS are too much of a group of sticklers to EVER let a suit last that long with THAT much damage on it. (I am ASSUMING, that the fight with the bear will happen JUST before this scene, and it will NOT be implied during the show that it was just LEFT damaged for days.) {People complain about the town looking like megaton, the ghoul not looking zombie enough, etc, but none of that makes me cringe like the power armor does.}

I'm just not sure about the well...cringe worthy marvel writing. Or the opening faceplate for power armour (because you totally want a new weakness in your enviro seal) or the lack of impact and exhaust from the suits jetpack landing. Overall I'm just not sure fallout is interesting anymore for me at least.

I mean, how else are you supposed to eat your food and/or drugs? Take your entire helmet off? I honestly like the faceplate opening. Reminds me of old knight helmets

The fact that the helmets are hinged makes sense both from a cinematic point of view and from a purely logical point of view. imagine a group of soldiers making a quick stop to eat or drink something - if they are attacked, their heads are still largely protected as if they had taken off their helmets. They could do that in the upcoming fallout games for all I care. Oh, and don't forget that closed knight helmets from the Middle Ages also had such a function :)
