Don't let fame really makes you childish and not listening to your viewer's feedback. Fame is really a finite element and not something to be addicted at, instead its a thing to be grateful of and push you to do something good for the audience. You're an influencer, not a karen. You're an influencer, not a bad example. Additionally, fame is also, yes, a result, and worrying and focusing about a result before you do something to make that result is considered irrelevant.

This is exactly why I like being part of the smaller side of the gacha community. Sure, I may not get as much views, but I’m able to actually have a connection with my viewers and I can’t let fame get to my head. The gacha community feels so…weird right now. Creators like wisefox and mika using misleading thumbnails/titles is so frustrating to see in this community. And whenever something gets popular, gachatuber will produce as many videos about it like a content farm would, even if they don’t actually care about it. I’m not gonna be one of those “I miss the old gacha!!” Kind of people because I don’t; the bad side of the community was definitely more present during those times. We were definitely more “innocent” in a way. Back then, most videos felt like they had passion put into them. Because we were kids, we didn’t understand/care about something like the algorithm or views. But now we’ve grown up. I really appreciate this video from you. I feel like we NEEDED a video like this at this point.

The fact this is actually true is making me sick. I have a feeling that lots of big gachatubers know that they’re acting like this, yet continue to do so, because they want everything their way, which, in real life, is a pipe dream. These people need to understand that there will be supporters, people providing constructive criticism, the truth and haters. You can never truely have want you want all the time.

Why don't gachatubers solve matters privately why bring your audience in it??? If your problem is big solve it in private if the person doesn't have social media other than the certain platform use the comments, this method is simple Nobody was hurt the matter got resolved and there was no need to abuse the power of fame. If gachatubers realised this there would be less drama in the community and more creativity. Thanks, for bringing these problems from dark to light flotalendy.hopefully this video will make gachatubers learn there mistakes and horrible actions.

I DIDN'T EXPECT MY COMMENT TO BE IN THE VIDEO- 😭 (Timestamp for it: 3:42) Anyways, I agree with you as always! Fame is not something you can use to cover your wrongdoings, just because you're famous, it doesn't mean you can use your audience to silence others who just try to help you to understand your mistakes by criticising you, we're all human and we do mistakes and gotta own up to them, but using your fan base as a shield it's just wrong. To Mika and some users who may act like her, just because someone criticises you, it doesn't automatically make them a "hater of yours", you gotta understand not everyone is gonna like you, and you need to accept criticism as it helps you grow as a person.

Yet, many aspire for fame whether we are aware of the risks or not. No one wants to stay a lowlife all alone, those who due are just depressingly hopeless in themselves. In my view, people online nowadays see themselves as more than human; something better than that, or something else entirely. And with that mindset, occasionally Human Rights aren't followed.

Fame can be a blessing and cursed at the same time. That's why we should be careful in our actions and attitudes to other people. Don't let fame get over to our heads and we need to be humble ourselves. Always remember that all of us are not perfect and fame is not important in our lives.

Yes indeed! Very common! Which is why being popular and famous isn’t always the best as it seems. Sometimes less freedom, more responsibilities, and being able to take feedback and criticism properly vs actual haters. It is really sad that fans are just being used as weapons now. To those fans stop attacking and defending just because they are your favorite. Actually research and fact check their deeds and like Flo said really learn both sides! Yes it is very sad when your favorite youtuber does something bad but they really need to own up to it and actually show some improvement and change to their behavior not being babied by fans.

Fame is something you should be responsible for. It's pretty sad how the amount of famous gachatubers turned into something so vile and egoistical. When it comes to fame, it starts off as phenomenally good and satisfying but slowly, it eats your maturity and destroys your well being. Fame is so scary.

Like Mika Rou, she was inspirational and my favorite gachatuber but she showed her true colors after recent drama, and I hope she learns, but atm, I'm just tired of all this. I’ve been in this community for almost 5 years now, and the amount of times I’ve seen fame seriously get to a gachatuber’s head is definitely. a lot. ive seen gachatubers who actively deflect any sort of criticism they may receive (my best examples of this would be the old nehema and may are my tv dramas), ive seen gachatubers even go as far as to fake their own deaths during my time in this community. it’s quite interesting how these “idols” can get so used to being defended and loved by their majority of the time already young and impressionable audiences that they believe they can get away with absolutely anything, no matter how wrong it might be

I personally think that it’s Crob and Mika’s fault. A lot of people didn’t notice, but I have. Crob is manipulating his audience. Although this may not be intentional, all of his actions are leaning towards hatred and he’s using his profile of “small youtuber” as a weopon, just like Mika. His actions are based on hatred, and this hatred is effecting Crob’s audience too. I can also tell Crob is too focused on this hatred but not his own audience. He swears continuously, brings up the topic of (TW: SUICIDE+SH) Suicide and self harm. He mentions these in some videos without a single trigger warning. Crob also says several swear words in his video. Mika’s fans probably watched these videos (Mika's audience is young.) hearing these swear words. I personally think that Mika is also to blame for not handling criticism in an appropriate manner. Her actions were horrible, and unacceptable.

Just because your popular than them, doesn't mean that you can just attack them for just a stupid hate comment.

When you mentioned Discord, I agree that dramas should be solved privately, which gave me many reasons as to why I use that app rarely, because I always tend to avoid drama like the plague. (People are entitled, immature, insensitive, hypocrites, the list goes on), because we let fame and popularity get the best of us, if we bring it into public, we're involving our audience into the problem, making matters worse, corrupting us in the process at some point where we use it as a weapon. Like you said, people will use fame for their benefit to control their audience and their beliefs of what they should do and not do, abusing their parasocial relationships onto them, since they're willing to defend their idols because of their talent. Thanks for attending my TED TALK.

Reminds me of celebrity culture, except they mostly get away with everything they did, and their fans continue to glaze and sugarcoat their idol. If you call them out, they attack you and you’re done.

Honestly this video is the perfect example of how much fame can change someone if it’s given to the wrong person. Its like feeding a beast .The more it gets the more it gets FULL of them selfs.I honestly think people need to reflect and also think twice b4 doing anything.Especially if your seen as an idol. And if u apologies..Take it srsly making a joke out of it makes it look less real. And more fake.

Gacha community now will never have no drama. Most of the majoy famous gqcha youtubers now fame has gone straight to their heads. Eventually, due to this drama i believe that the gacha community will be forgotton in the long. Future.

Hey flo, im not trying to be mean or anything but i would like to explain something. In these past few months i have noticed something. When you are using examples i usally see old / new argument that you or othergatchatubers have been in and talk more abt them then the actual topic. Sorry if i sound mean i just wanted to share this 😅. But i understand that bigger youtubers use fame to there advatage ( not all )

Its weird to see most of the sides to this, cause i started my acc in November and my channel has been great in my eyes. But i always get worried if i mess up or "get cancelled" cause i did one slip up. I love this community but the problems between othe gachatubers that hasnt been solved, using their fans as shields, or just getting blamed for something that theyre still getting blacklashed for after they learned their lesson, just gets exhausting. I still act like a fan to my favorite idols and i hope i dont become a jerk to others if i ever become big for this reason.

This has been a problem for all of human history, look back at the Greeks, famous athletes and warriors and that let their fame go to their heads quickly became arrogant and thus, hated by the people who used to love them. However, many famous Gacha tubers are children or at least young teens. Children can't comprehend "fame" and teens are already hormonal messes, to add the pressure of "being a good influence" to that doesn't help. Obviously, this isn't to defend people who have made terrible decisions and have done terrible things, but I think we need to understand that some of them are children, not adults with fully developed brains. The point of this comment isn't to say "oh, they're kids, let kids be kids," because no, kids shouldn't have phones or access to the Internet, but that's another story for another time, the point of this comment is to say "this isn't a new thing, this phenomenon has existed for thousands of years "

This is becoming a problem for any kind of Gachatubers, even ranters. Let's take Flo and her 17 minute rant video for example. A lot of viewers were excitedly waiting on that video just to see that it looked like Flo was siding with Wise Fox when she clearly said she was netural. This caused a lot of dissapointment not just to the viewers, but also to Mika because she felt like she was betrayed. Being famous can have it's benefits, but also it's downfalls. (I'll probably make a video regarding Flo's neturality in the drama)

I feel like a problem for these is the fact most are kids, And a lot of people who become toxic haven’t been through that cycle yet, myself for example was extremely toxic and abusive when I was 9 to a good friend up until I lost her, and i thought she was in the wrong. Hence once I realised I had to revaluate myself and fix my issues to the best I can, these people haven’t been through their “I was in the wrong” stage yet and it shows, this stage can come early or really late in life depending on the person, and you can’t really get through to them, usually you can try guide them but the only one who can fix them is themselves.

I feel if I were to ever become famous and accidentally mess up, I’d apologize. I’d get rid of the video that was bad, or leave it up but make a note that I apologize for it and have made a proper apology video. I try to be good, especially online, but sometimes I slip up and things go bad. I know no one’s perfect, but everyone is capable of doing the right thing when they make a mistake.
